Thanks so much for coming back to this story, Horsey! I'm really looking forward to seeing Satanie's whole world crumble around her. And her precious baby injured because of her own actions, WOW - talk about payback thanks jilt! Stephanie has ALOT of karma coming her way.

I love the payback, too, Horsey! Fang gets arrested and her little "boo" is severely injured, lost his pretty boy looks and may never function "as a man" again. He would probably wish he did die! And as horribly as Ridge has treated Brooke, it is true to her character that she would feel some sadness over what happened to him. Hopefully, she won't get sucked back into his orbit again. sigh....yes, I would have love to have Brooke not care, but she is a very caring human being. I had to stay true to that, it's what makes Brooke, Brooke. lol....Ridge is so narcisstic (sp?) that I sometimes wonder if ANYTHING can alter his personality. We shall see if his latest injuries can bring about some positive change for him. as always, thanks for reading and the comments. ;D

“The salmon was an excellent choice Eric thank you for suggesting it,” Taylor said as she daintily pressed the linen napkin to her lips. Eric and Taylor were seated at a small table in the sitting area in the suite of rooms. Eric leaned back in his chair and allowed a small smile to play across his face.
“I’m glad you enjoyed it,” he replied.
Taylor got up from her chair, while stifling a yawn. “I think I’m going to go to bed. It’s been an extremely long and trying day.”
Eric nodded, and got up from his chair as well. He walked around the table and embraced Taylor. “Look,” he said softly, “I know Stephanie can be infuriating, but you do know that the rest of the family cares for you very much. Especially me,” Eric added.
Taylor nodded as tears filled her eyes, and she rested her head on Eric’s shoulder. “I just don’t understand how she can be so cruel,” Taylor whispered with regret and despair in her voice. “I thought she was my best friend, my anchor, the person that I could go to with anything. Now I know that I can’t trust her , I’ll be on guard for now on. I’m tired of her interfering in my life,” Taylor’s voice grew a hard edge as she finished speaking.
It was Eric’s turn to nod, and tightened his arms around Taylor. He pulled back slightly, kissed her tenderly on the cheek and released her from his embrace. “Sleep well, Taylor. I’m sure things will at least look better after a good long sleep.” Eric’s cell started to ring. He pulled it out of his pant’s pocket, looked at the number that flashed on the screen. “It must be Bridget,” he said. Taylor raised her eyebrows slightly.
“Hello,” Eric said.
“Dad,” Bridget said. “I have some news.”
“Is everything okay?” Eric was alarmed by the sound of her voice.
“No Dad, it’s not. Ridge is in the hospital.”
“What happened?”
“I’m not entirely sure Dad, but things don’t look good right now. He apparently was at the old Spectra building, and there was a fire. CJ and Clarke rescued him just in time. I’m going to need you to come down to the hospital. There are papers to be signed, and I can’t seem to get a hold of Stephanie. I signed the initial paperwork so the could get him stabilized, but his next of kin needs to get down here and sign another set for treatment.”
“You said something about a fire? How bad is it?”
“Dad I’m not going to lie to you, he’s been burned pretty badly. It also looks like he was beaten up pretty badly. Both of his knees are shattered, and he’s sustained a blow to the head. He’s lost a lot of blood, and that doesn’t help with his burns. The doctors have him in a drug induced coma, and they are pumping fluids into him. The next few days will be critical. At this point we don’t know if he’ll make it or not.”
Eric looked at Taylor with alarm and she returned the gaze with one of her own filled with questions and deepening sense of dread as she took in the change in Eric’s mood. He swiftly grabbed his jacket and put it on.
“Okay Bridget,” Eric said. “I’ll be down as soon as I can and I’ll try to get a hold of Stephanie as soon as I can.” Eric hit the end button, and turned to Taylor.
“Ridge is in the hospital.” Eric told Taylor, as he also grabbed his car keys. “What happened?” Taylor asked as she too grabbed her suit jacket.
“The details are sketchy right now, but Bridget said it didn’t look good. I’m sure you’ll be able to make more sense of what the doctors have to say than I can,” Eric stated as he started to shake slightly from the shock. Taylor nodded, as tears streamed down her face. Eric continued, “I have to find Stephanie. Bridget said she couldn’t find her, and I know she’ll want to be there for Ridge. Right now though I want to get to the hospital.”
Eric and Taylor quickly left the suite to go to the hospital. Eric wondered what in the world was going on with his family. Ever since Brooke’s fiancé was killed, the whole Forrester family seemed to be under a dark cloud.

Stephanie meanwhile, had been brought into central booking for LA county. She fumed silently, and weighed her options. Of course she would say nothing until she found an attorney, and she was disgusted by the fact that Lt. Baker had thrown her into a cell with common whores. The ladies of the night eyed Stephanie with disgust as well. They knew her type all too well. An uptight socialite who probably didn’t know how to please her man, and had everything in life handed to her. They whispered among themselves as Stephanie occasionally shot hard looks in their direction. Finally, Stephanie snapped and started calling the ladies all sorts of nasty names. Two of the women got up and came at Stephanie with menacing looks upon their faces. Stephanie puffed herself up, and as one of the women came with in striking distance, Stephanie slapped her hard across the face. At just that moment Agent Moyer came into view, and the woman that had been slapped, retreated slightly. Stephanie rounded on Moyer and released the rest of her pent up rage.
“How dare you people put me in here with common whores,” Stephanie spat at Moyer.
Agent Moyer looked at Stephanie with an inquisitive expression. “What do you expect? Solicitation of murder is hardly a white collar crime.”
“Innocent until proven guilty,” Stephanie shot back quickly.
“True, but we do have enough to arrest you. You will be arraigned and will proceed to trial. I’m sure a ummm…..lady of your constitution can handle a single night in jail. If you’re found guilty you’ll be spending quite a few years in jail, and I can almost guarantee you that with the Rossi’s, that they’ll seek the maximum sentence. I’m not sure if you comprehend who you have messed with, but it is the wrong people.”
“I have no idea what you are talking about,” Stephanie said cautiously.
Agent Moyer laughing stated with a wink,” I’m sure you don’t.” Moyer turned and added as she walked back out of sight, “and I wouldn’t antagonize those ladies. You don’t know how long you’ll be in here, and I would hate to see something happen to you in here.”
The ladies of the night smirked among themselves, and when Moyer disappeared a guard appeared and stood by the cell door.
Agent Moyer paused at the door of Lt. Baker’s office. He was seated at his desk and was on the phone. He waved her in, as he continued to listen, and made notes on his pad. “Okay, I’ll send my team down there as soon as I can.” He hung up the phone as Moyer settled into the chair that sat opposite of his.
“What’s up?” Moyer asked as she pulled out her blackberry and checked her messages.
“Ridge Forrester.” Lt. Baker stated as he rubbed his temple. “He’s in critical condition from burns and apparent gun shot wounds.” Baker consulted his notes for a moment and continued. “He was found by Clarke and CJ Garrison at the old Spectra building. The building was on fire when they found him.” “Isn’t that building downtown?” Moyer asked. She had started to take notes as well preferring to enter them straight into her blackberry rather than paper and pen.
“Yes,” Lt. Baker responded.
“And he wasn’t at the custody hearing for his son?” She continued smoothly.
“That’s correct also.”
“Hmmm….that is interesting. I wonder.” Moyer trailed off and looked thoughtful for a moment. “If you’ll excuse me, I’m going to make a couple of calls.” Moyer got up left the office, and disappeared. Leaving Lt. Baker slightly surprised. She returned a few moments later, and sat back down. “I got a hold of one of my contacts. I think you’ll find this interesting. According to my source Mr. Golden put a bid in to buy the Spectra building.”
“Very interesting,” Baker agreed. He thought for a moment, and continued. “considering that we believe with some certainty that Stephanie and Golden are in this together, can we assume that Ridge’s incident is connected.”
“I’m fairly certain,” Moyer stated.
“Well, I’m not sure of the kind of physical evidence we’ll find there. The building was completely destroyed,” Baker said as he consulted his notes again. “I’m sending a CSI team down there to work with the fire marshal’s office. Once I get those reports and any evidence then we’ll have a better idea how to proceed.”
“Once Mrs. Forrester’s arrest is made public, I expect that Mr. Golden will go underground. We’ll only have a small window of opportunity. Mr. Golden hasn’t gone this long with getting away with what he has without being very cautious and smart.” Agent Moyer stated as she continued to make entries into her PDA. “Is there anyway that we can delay the news about Mrs. Forrester?” Moyer asked.
“Not unless we release her,” Lt. Baker stated.
“I don’t think that is the answer.” Moyer was quiet for a moment. “I don’t think I can detain her on federal charges. It would be much easier to keep her arrest quiet. She hit a key on her PDA and brought up her email list. She scrolled down the list of names, to a federal prosecutor. She started to type and after composing her questions, hit send, and sat back into the chair. “Well, can we at least push back the arraignment?”
“That all depends on who she gets to represent her,” Baker pondered. “As of right now, she hasn’t asked for her phone call yet. As late as it is right now, I can safely put that off until the morning.”
“I wouldn’t tell her about her son yet,” Moyer stated. “Once you do she’ll be hell bent to get out and down to the hospital.”
“You are right about that,” Baker agreed. “I think I’ll go to the hospital myself and interview the family and the Garrison‘s. I want to make sure that the right questions are asked, and I want to read their reactions first hand. Besides, if I talk to the family myself, we may be able to buy a little time. I’m sure they don’t need Mrs. Forrester’s arrest made public. In fact, we just might be able to use this incident with Ridge Forrester to our advantage. If we work this right, we’ll concentrate the media’s attention on Ridge and not Stephanie.”
“Good idea, Lt. Baker. I’m coming also.” Moyer said as both stood up and headed for the hospital.

Horsey, I'm glad you're writing again! Is it my imagination, or did I detect a spark between Eric and Taylor?
Boy, is Stephanie in for a rude awakening! Striking a lady of the evening who's probably street tough? I'm looking forward to her getting the beat down she so richly deserves!

Striking a lady of the evening who's probably street tough? I'm looking forward to her getting the beat down she so richly deserves! Thank you MissJr. I am starting to write more frequently now. Ahh, yes you did detect a spark. One of my own pet peeves with Bell was the lack of a relationship between Eric and Taylor. I often thought they would make a good couple, not to mention the fact that Taylor wouldn't be Steph's wonder wife/friend/daughter anymore. Of course at the time, "Taylor just couldn't do that to her best friend" however now that her halo is offically tarnished (not that we haven't seen that for years) I can definately see Taylor cultivating a relationship with Eric, even on the show at this point. With Stephanie, that woman never knows when to quit or keep her hands to herself. It will be interesting to see how she gets out of her current predicament.

Eric threw his keys onto the polished wood nightstand. He ran his hand through his mostly gray hair. Damn it, he muttered as he recalled the scenes during the ride to and at the hospital. Taylor managed to hold it together until they were in the car, however Eric soon realized that she was not quite herself. He actually had to pull over the car when she went into hysterics.
Eric walked over to the wet bar, and poured himself a double shot of whiskey. Downing it quickly, he remembered the feeling of helplessness as he watched quickly Taylor go from uncontrollable crying to an almost comatose state. At that point, he decided it was best to get to the hospital as soon as possible. The doctors had rushed her off as soon as he had arrived. It was only later that the doctors had told them that she had taken a possibly lethal combination of prescription pills and alcohol. Her stomach had been pumped, and she was seemingly on the mend. That was nothing compared to the horror that waited for him at the ICU.
Bridget patiently explained the extent of Ridge’s wounds to her father. Before Eric could catch a glimpse of Ridge through the plate glass window of his room, Lt. Baker appeared and peppered him with questions. Eric found out that Stephanie had been arrested earlier that evening. He was understandably shaken and horrified by the charges. After Lt. Baker had left, he spent a few minutes with Bridget watching as Ridge laid in bed unconscious covered with bandages.
Once he checked in on Taylor, he left the hospital and was immediately accosted by the press, demanding an update on Ridge’s condition. He referred them to the Forrester Original’s press secretary, and informed them they would have a statement sometime soon.
Eric made his way over to the large windows, he pulled the drapes open and stared out at the breaking dawn, and wondered if he things could possibly get any worse. He sighed, kicked off his shoes and fell across the bed without bothering to undress, and tried to rest.

Poor Eric! It's a wonder that he wasn't checked into the hospital himself from a massive coronary or a stroke.
Was Taylor's overdose accidental or did she really want to kill herself? And have Ridge and Taylor's children been informed of what happened to their parents? I don't envy Eric that task at all.
I find it very telling that Eric didn't rush to have Stephanie's behind bailed out of jail. Could it be because he really no longer cares or is he just too numb to act right now?
I can't wait to see what happens next!

I can't wait to see what happens next! Poor Taylor I really think that she's been self medicating for so long, she didn't pay attention to what she was taking at the time. Right now her "best friend" has thrown her to the dogs, her marriage to Nick has fallen apart, and she can't love "her child"; she's never been lower. I hope she can handle the rest of the events, without resorting to drugging herself. Time will tell. Eric is finally starting to see Stephanie in a new light. Right now his focus is on Ridge, afterall this isn't the first time that Stephanie has done something awful in the name of the "family". I'm currently working on gathering some information and graphics for an upcoming installment. As you may recall Brooke will be heading to Italy for Carmine's funeral. I need to do the country and KKL's love for the area justice.

Brooke was seated next to a window on a chartered corporate jet. She glanced at what would have been her father in law. He was seated next to her as was Rick. She felt perfectly safe with the Rossi’s however she was disconcerted by the fact that she hadn’t known that Filippa was Carmine’s twin. Of course she knew that he had brothers and sisters, but it was still quite a shock. The rest of the Rossi men were seated behind Brooke and their father. Catherine, and the younger children were seated with them. Catherine had graciously agreed to come along when Bridget called to cancel. She wanted to be there with Eric, and Brooke really couldn’t blame her. Her hand started to shake as she thought of what Stephanie had done, what happened to Ridge, and the weight of the last few days as well as the days ahead would hold. She had no doubt of Stephanie’s guilt; however it seemed unreal that the old bat would actually hire someone to kill her fiancé. When all she ever wanted was Brooke away from Ridge, and the rest of the family. Did Stephanie hate her that much? I can’t believe this was all over business, she thought. Lt. Baker had called Mr. Rossi and he in turn told Brooke when he picked her up in the morning.
Mr. Rossi reached over and took Brooke’s hand in his, and with a reassuring voice said, “all will be well, despite the tragedy that has happened.” Brooke looked at him and his face was totally calm and reflective.
Brooke inhaled deeply, looked back out the window, and tried to draw strength from the man that sat next to her.
“Mom it’s going to be okay,” Rick added. “The police have arrested Stephanie, and hopefully this time it will stick. No sane jury will let that woman go, especially after they hear about all of her antics over the years. I mean come on a “fake heart attack”, and the so called “stroke”. And I remember Dad telling me about my poor half sister Angela. I can’t believe Stephanie kept that from him all those years, even if it wasn’t really Angela. I just don‘t understand how you could lie to your husband and you‘re children, and keep her hidden. That‘s not the half of it either,” Rick added to Mr. Rossi.
Mr. Rossi’s face had assume a incredulous expression as he listened to Rick’s speech.
“Rick!” Brooke admonished.
Rick shot her a look, popped in his earphones, and turned the volume up on his ipod.
“Please excuse my son.”
“It is forgotten,” Mr. Rossi replied.
“Mommy,” Hope exclaimed excitedly, as she appeared next to Mr. Rossi bouncing up and down on her toes. “Lorenzo said that they have horses there. He said I could ride if I wanted too and if you said it was okay. Hope scooted past Mr. Rossi’s knees and onto her mother’s lap. “Plllease,” she begged, as she threw her arms around Brooke’s neck and hugged her mother.
Brooke chuckled, “of course.” She glanced at Mr. Rossi, “I don’t remember horses at the vineyard.”
“No, but Lorenzo has a stable at his farm,” Mr. Rossi commented. He reached over and carefully squeezed Hope’s dimpled cheek. “I am sure he has a horse that is perfect for you to ride.”
“What kind of horses do you like mommy?”
Brooke laughed and replied, “any kind sweetie, they’re all special.”
Hope started firing off questions to her mother almost faster than Brooke could answer them, and Mr. Rossi chimed in with an answer about Italy now and again.

Eric awoke several hours later to the sound of pounding on his hotel room door. He sat up in a daze.
“Damn it Eric, I said OPEN THE DOOR”
Eric shook his head slightly and peered around with blurry eyes.
“I KNOW YOURE IN THERE!” the voice continued.
Stephanie? He thought to himself.
“GO AWAY!” he yelled back.
The pounding intensified as Eric got up and slammed the bedroom door shut, threw himself back onto the bed and grabbed a pillow to cover his ears. However the screeching continue.
“YOU SON OF A B!TCH. OPEN THIS DOOR NOW.”
A few doors opened in the hallway, and people stared in disbelief as they beheld the sight in front of them. It was obvious that the woman had spent the night in her clothes, and the hallway reeked slightly of tobacco cheap perfume, and urine. She was also sporting a swollen eye, which was just starting to blossom into a purplish blue. The disbelief gave way to the type of horror, like a train wreck that you can’t stop looking at, as she continued to pound on the door and scream at the top of her lungs. Literally getting so worked up that you could see spittle flying from her mouth.
“Can’t say that I blame the poor bloke for not answering the door,” a tall gentleman with an Australian accent said.
“She’s obviously deranged,” another man replied.
“I’m calling security,” a lady said.
At that moment the door opened, and a disheveled Eric appeared.
“I thought I said Go Away.”
“Eric, thank god you’re here.”
He stared in disbelief as well.
“What do you want Stephanie?” he asked coldly.
“Can I please come in?” Stephanie asked gesturing to her own less than impeccable appearance.
Eric appraised her for a moment or two, truly debating whether he should or not. Taking in the audience that Stephanie had roused from their beds, he stepped back from the door.
“Not wise mate,” the Australian called out.
Eric closed the door, the latch had barely clicked when Stephanie started.

ROFL!! Poor Eric! Imagine awakening to that horror on your doorstep! I see old Fang did survive the night in jail--but barely. ITA with the Aussie--not smart, bloke! Brooke seems to have great rapport with the Rossi clan. How much did Carmine tell his father about her? And Hope can charm the birds out of a tree. Even Mr. Rossi was charmed by the child's antics. I'm glad that Brooke has such a strong support system. But, Stephanie apparently still has no idea who she is fooling with. After seeing what happened to her precious Ridge, I almost feel sorry for her!
