I know … Felicia is kind of foul, isn't she? I had always wondered what would happen if Deacon had hooked up with someone like Felicia, who seems to match him more in temperament and is actually closer in age. Oh, and, Giovanna, am I to understand that when Deacon whipped out that picture of the two perverts that Ridge barely flinched? WOW! No shame; no embarrassment; nothing. Just an offer to throw money at Deacon to get out of town. And since when does the rapist have the ability to order someone to leave town? I thought L.A. had a mayor? I also wish Brooke would take a firmer stand with Ridge regarding Hope. That pig has absolutely NOTHING to say about Deacon visiting Hope. I understand she wants to be cool until this paternity mess is settled but still … Ridge should have had his face slapped off by now! Well, we all know Ridge, he has no shame. He can do whatever he wants, and it's all good, as he always has an excuse.
True, Brooke needs to be firmer with Ridge. However, I think she was plenty firm with him regarding Hope, as I didn't want her to get into a screaming match with Ridge.

Entry 51
A Small Diner Seven O'Clock
Brooke entered, dressed in a beige trench coat, her hair pulled back, then looked around. She saw Shawn in a booth and walked over.
Brooke: Hello, Shawn.
Shawn: Ms. Logan.
Brooke: Call me Brooke.
Shawn: Very well.
She sat down. He lit a cigarette.
Shawn: Mind?
Brooke: No.
He gestured to the waitress.
Shawn: What'll you be having?
Brooke: Water's fine. So, what do you have?
He cleared his throat.
Shawn: Ridge and his mother mentioned paying a doctor off regarding your son's paternity.
Brooke: Interesting. Do you have a tape of the conversation?
Shawn pulled out an envelope and handed it to her.
Brooke: Thanks.
Shawn: Brooke?
She looked at him.
Shawn: Not to pry, but I mentioned them paying the doctor off and you didn't even blink.
She exhaled and decided to trust him.
Brooke: Some information came to my attention that Ridge paid off the doctor to fix RJ's test results and he did it for the shares of the company.
He coughed.
Shawn: So I'm not telling you anything you don't already know, or at least suspect.
Brooke: No. But this tape should help if the two of them try to lie their way out of it.
Shawn: Meaning?
Brooke: I have a plan. I just need the test results, then I am going to clean house.
The Forrester Mansion Same Time
Ridge sat on the couch, nursing a drink. He was not having a good week, and Deacon showing up and giving him lip hadn't improved his mood. Plus he had that picture of him and Bridgette. God knows what he was planning to do with it. Not that he felt any shame, but he was Ridge Forrester and there were a lot of people who wanted to see him fall. And they would view his kiss with Bridgette as perverse and sick.
He heard a noise, and looked up to see Felicia putting on a pair of earrings. She was wearing a leather jacket and she looked more made up than usual.
Felicia: Oh, hi.
Ridge: Hi. Where are you going?
Felicia giggled.
Felicia: I have a date.
Ridge: Well, have fun.
Felicia: Oh, I will.
She exited. She was meeting Deacon, and she knew that, if Ridge saw him, he would make all sorts of noise.
As if it concerned him.
Felicia leaned against the door as she saw Deacon pull into the driveway. She thought about how dating him would piss Bridgette off, and she smiled to herself.

entry 52 The Doctor's Office Nine O'Clock, Saturday
Brooke sat, chewing on her thumbnail. Nick sat next to her, his face impassive. Dr. Caspry came in with a folder.
Caspry: Brooke, Nick.
Nick nodded.
Brooke: Good morning. Are the results in?
Caspry: They are, and I ran the test twice.
Brooke: So there is no room for error.
Caspry: No. I sent them to two different labs.
She sat down and opened her folder, then looked at Nick.
Caspry: Congratulations, you're a father.
Nick's eyes widened, and he started to cough.
Nick: Damn.
Brooke exhaled.
Brooke: Doctor, can I have a copy of the test results?
Caspry: Of course. And how will you be paying for this?
Brooke: Cash, of course.
She pulled out her purse and the doctor held up her hand.
Caspry: You can pay billing. I'll have my receptionist make a copy.
She exited.
Brooke: God.
Nick looked at her.
Brooke: I-don't know what to say.
Nick laughed hollowly.
Nick: Join the club.
Brooke: I know you'll want to see your son. At the moment, he's at my mother's in Santa Barbara.
Nick: Brooke?
Brooke: Yes?
Nick: Is there something you're not telling me?
She coughed nervously.
Brooke: There is. But I can't go into it here.
Nick: Do you want to go somewhere for a cup of coffee? I know of a place.
She nodded.
Brooke: I need to be back at the office before one.
Nick: Yeah, sure, of course.
Lucky's Diner Thirty Minutes Later
Brooke sat at a booth. She checked her watch. In a way, she was glad Nick was late, as she had a million thoughts running through her head.
Should I apologize?
Why? You didn't do anything.
The waitress came over.
Waitress: Can I get you something?
Brooke: Two coffees, black.
Nick entered and came over to her booth.
Brooke: Hello, Nick.
Nick: Brooke.
He sat down.
Nick: What was it that you couldn't tell me?
Brooke: If I tell you, you have to promise not to do anything rash.
Nick: You have my word.
Brooke: Do you remember when I told you the first test was compromised?
Nick: Yes.
Brooke: Well, I received evidence of foul play.
Nick: Excuse me?
Brooke: Someone bribed Mark to falsify the test.
He stared at her.
Nick: Who?
Brooke: Ridge.
Nick: That-bastard.
Brooke: He did it because of RJ's shares.
Nick: I'll kill him.
Brooke: I don't think that will be necessary.
She exhaled.
Brooke: I have a plan that will hit him where he lives. I'll tell you and if you want, I'll hold off on it. In this case, you and RJ have suffered the most.
Nick: This plan-is it legal?
Brooke: To the letter.
Twenty Minutes Later
Nick: So you're going to hold a board meeting and do it then?
Brooke: Only if you don't object.
Nick: Do it. Bring the bastard to his knees.

Felicia leaned against the door as she saw Deacon pull into the driveway. She thought about how dating him would piss Bridgette off, and she smiled to herself. I see Flea has the Douglas gene. As much as I can't stand Budge, I hope in this story, she has moved on from Deacon. I thought it funny that when he saw the picture of her with Ridge, he felt some sort of disappointment as if she wasn't good enough for him anymore. Considering all he pulled, he has some nerve. Yup, he and Flea really deserve each other. I can't wait to see Ridge get taken care of and then get hit with a paternity suit. I don't know who would suffer the most, Hag or the royal ass.

YES!! FINALLY!! Bring on the revenge! Bring on the board meeting! I have been patiently waiting for that buffoon and his mama to finally get what's coming to them. They think they're so slick; but you can't out-slick someone who has a history of being a little slick herself. GO BROOKE AND NICK!

Forrester Creations One O'Clock
Giovanni exited the elevator and entered the reception area. He was a tall man, about six feet, with dark blond hair and brown eyes. Although Italian by birth, his mother was Icelandic, which was where he got his blond hair. He smiled as he thought of his mother, as she was always telling him he looked like a deer in the woods with his eyes. She passed away a few years ago, and whenever he was nervous, he thought of her words of encouragement. And he was nervous, as he had a job interview with one of the more prestigious fashion houses in LA. He had dressed in his usual attire of black and he wore glasses to make him look serious.
He walked over to the couch and sat down.
Brooke opened her office door and looked out, doing a double take. This guy was handsome. She expected someone older, but he looked like he was about her age.
Brooke: Hello?
Giovanni stood up and extended his hand.
Giovanni: Ms. Logan?
She took his hand and shook it.
Brooke: Call me Brooke.
They entered her office.
Brooke: Please, have a seat. Coffee?
Giovanni: No, thank you.
She sat at her desk and picked up a pad.
Brooke: I've been over your portfolio and I am impressed.
Giovanni: So you said.
Brooke: I will have a job opening next week.

Brooke's Home Sunday Evening
Brooke sat at the dining room table, looking over her notes. She had called Ridge and told him that she would sign the forms and was planning a press conference on Monday to do it. So far, she had contacted Nick as well as Deacon and Rick, plus she had outlined her plan to Connor and Donna. And she had called a security guard to be there, as she had a feeling that things were going to get ugly.
Well, too bad. She remembered when she had almost lost Belief and how she swore that she was nobody's fool. Now that girl, who swore that she couldn't trust the Forresters and had to be strong for her children was back, and no way was she going to back down. Granted her plan took nerves of steel, but how many times was she going to let Ridge and his posse off with a slap on the wrist? Every single time they tried to double cross her, she scolded them and demoted Ridge, only to have them pull the same stunt later.
Don't screw with a Logan.
She had met with Giovanni and planned to announce his hiring after her press conference. It was still early, but she had outlined what she had planned to him.
Then she rubbed her temples. She had called her mother and talked to her two babies, and realized that she missed them.
The Forrester Mansion Same Time
Ridge sat at the dining room table, thinking about Logan's phone call, and he felt like a weight had been lifted from his shoulders. So Brooke was going to sign the forms after all. From the way she was acting lately, he thought she was going to pull out. But he had to go through with the wedding, as the legal form would allow him to act as a proxy for Hope and Jack's shares. He felt like a fool for having been worried, as he was so damn clever. All he had to do was tell Logan what she wanted to hear, and she would sign away her soul.

Entry 55
Forrester Creations Monday Morning, Nine A.M.
Ridge exited the elevator, feeling on top of the world. In just a few minutes, he would have his company back in the family, as it should be. As for Brooke getting screwed, so what. She would see that it was for the best, anyway, as the only reason she wanted control of the company was to get even with his family. In his arrogance, he forgot that she had put her blood, sweat, and tears into making the company a force to be reckoned with.
He scowled when he saw Nick talking to the receptionist. What was he doing here? Better get him to leave before he tried to manipulate Brooke. He walked over.
Ridge: What the hell are you doing here, Marone?
Nick: Nice to see you, too, big brother.
Ridge glared at him. Even though they shared the same DNA, he was still a Forrester.
Ridge: Spare me the big brother crap. Why are you here?
Nick: Well, Brooke asked me. Being that Jack stands to inherit eleven percent of the company, I figured that I would be here to protect his interests.
Ridge looked down his nose at him.
Ridge: Oh, Jack'll be taken care of, Popeye. After all, since I am marrying his mother, I can act as his proxy.
Nick exhaled. Bastard, he thought.
Nick: I'm sure you will, but as a father, you understand that there is nothing a parent won't do for a child, so I'm here to guard my son's shares.
Ridge narrowed his eyes. Just what the hell did he mean by that?
Ridge: What's the matter, Nick? Don't you trust me?
About as far as I could throw your arrogant, dumb ass, Nick wanted to say. Instead, he didn't.
Nick: Oh, I'm sure that you'll do right by Jack. After all, you have always done right by Brooke, right?
Ridge opened his mouth to say something, then he saw Deacon step off the elevator and almost choked. Dammit, he was starting to worry. What WAS going on?
Deacon walked up to him.
Deacon: Well, hello, Ridge.
Ridge nodded curtly, then noticed Logan walk up. She was wearing a white silk blouse and a black suit which did nothing to show off her figure.
Brooke: Well, since we're all here, let's get started, shall we?
The Conference Room Five Minutes Later
Brooke entered and gestured towards the table.
Brooke: Gentlemen, have a seat.
Ridge noticed Eric, Rick, and Conner were already seated, along with two other men in suits, plus a security guard and Jarred.
He, Deacon, and Nick took their seats. Brooke remained standing.
Brooke: Good morning, gentlemen and thank you for coming. As you know, I am planning on stepping down and distributing my shares. Since Ridge came up with this brilliant idea, I figured that he should read the form and explain it in detail.
Ridge frowned. Was this necessary, he thought. The last thing he wanted was Brooke reading the form in detail, as he was banking on her signing it without reading the fine print.
Brooke: Please open your folders.
Everyone did so, and Ridge felt a chill as he read his. Instead of the legal form, he had a copy of the check he had paid Mark, plus the note he had written him. His mouth hanging open, he looked at the third page, which was a lab report for a paternity test. He froze.
Brooke glanced over at the man whom she had spent ten years loving to distraction, only to be let down countless times. Was it her imagination, or was he sweating?
Brooke: Ridge? We're waiting. Is something wrong?
Ridge: I-this isn't right.
Brooke: Jarred, could you help Ridge?
Jarred: Certainly, Brooke.
He walked over and looked over Ridge's shoulder.
Jarred: "Dear Mark,
Thanks so much for the DNA report, along with the test results. I owe you big for this one. Now that Nick thinks that Brooke's son is mine, he will do the right thing and back off. No way am I letting that cigar-smoking bastard get his hands on Logan's stock. This check should cover your expenses.
Your Buddy,
Ridge."
His eyes widened as he picked up the paper in front of Ridge.
Jarred: This looks like a lab report for a Ridge Forrester, Junior, comparing his DNA with a Dominick Marone.
Ridge looked up, and saw at least five pairs of condemning eyes looking at him. He felt his stomach turn to water.
Eric cleared his throat.
Eric: Ridge? Please tell me this wasn't your idea.
Ridge: I can explain.
Brooke: Oh, I'm sure you can. I believe you and your mother were discussing what you did just last week. Wasn't it my fault, that I made it so easy for you two to bribe the doctor?
She turned to her lawyer.
Brooke: Connor, please play the audiotape.
Ridge: I-no, I can explain. I-paid the doctor to say that RJ was mine. I-knew that it would be easier to gain control over the company.
Eric: My God, Ridge. What have you done?
Ridge: I did it because I wanted our family to get the company back.
Brooke: You didn't know, Eric?
Eric: My God, Brooke, no, you can't think I would condone this.
He stood up.
Brooke: I-I am appalled at this level of deceit in my company. I'm sorry, Eric, I realize that he's your son, but I can't have him working in such close proximity with our inventory.
She turned to Ridge.
Brooke: I am giving you a choice. I want your resignation within the hour, along with an agreement to sell me your fifteen percent, or I will fire you.

Simply WONDERFUL!! I'm glad that Brooke had the foresight to invite the press. For once, Ridge's dirty deeds will be exposed for all to see and he will get the ridicule and condemnation he richly deserves. Can't wait to "see" him tossed out on his ass!

Conference Room Same Time
Ridge stood up, not an easy task, as his legs were shaking.
Ridge: I-don't understand.
Brooke: Do you need a translator? I want your resignation within the hour, and I want a contract drawn up, so-
Ridge couldn't hear her, he only saw her lips moving, but he looked into her eyes and saw, for the first time, that whatever thread, call it love, obsession, or infatuation, that allowed her to take him back time after time, was dead.
He grabbed her by the throat and started squeezing. She gasped, and Rick, Nick, and the security guard all jumped to their feet and pulled him off. Brooke clutched the chair to steady herself as the security guard forced his hands behind his back, cuffing him.
Brooke: Someone call the police.
Rick helped her to her feet.
Rick: Mom, are you-
Brooke: I'm fine. Just someone get him down to the security office and hold him until the police get here.
The Security Office Twenty Minutes Later
Ridge sat on a bench, his hands cuffed behind his back. That fat security guard had only let him make one phone call, and he had called Jonathon.
As if on cue, Jonathon entered.
Jon: Hello, Ridge.
Ridge: What took you so long?
Jon: Traffic. What happened?
Ridge: Well, I lost it and attacked Brooke, and he had me dragged down here. My guess is, she's calling the cops.
Jon: You attacked Brooke?
Ridge: I started choking her, but it's her fault. She screwed me over.
Jon: Did you try to steal the company again?
Ridge: What the hell is that supposed to mean? It's MY company. It belongs to MY family. She just got it because Connor is a snake.
Jonathon exhaled. When was Ridge going to tough it up and be a man? His former wife was CEO of the family business, and every time he tried to make a grab for it, it blew up in their faces.
Ridge: I want her out of here. I need you to go up and draw up some papers barring her from the building.
Jonathon: Ridge, please settle down. You attacked Brooke, and it looks like she's planning on pressing charges. We need to deal with that first.
Brooke and Connor entered. She had bruises on her neck, but other than that, she seemed pretty calm. Ridge glared at her.
Ridge: Popeye put you up to this, didn't he?
Brooke exhaled.
Brooke: I'm not talking to you. Instead, I'll let Connor do it for me.
Connor: Thank you, Brooke. I'll come straight to the point. My client is pressing charges, and she wanted to give you the heads up before the police arrive.
Ridge: Meaning?
Connor: Meaning you're going to jail.
Ridge gasped. No way was HE going to jail.
Ridge: No, please, Logan, I'll give you anything, just don't press charges.
Connor smiled.
Connor: Well, it looks like my job just got easier. Did you hear him, Brooke? He said anything. Looks like you get those shares free and clear.
Ridge: Forget it, I am NOT giving away my legacy.
Connor: Even if it means going to jail?
Brooke: Wait. I think I have an answer. I'll buy the shares at forty percent their value, and we can all go home.
Ridge: Forget it, you are NOT getting my shares. Mother was right, you don't belong to this family.
Brooke: Neither do you, if blood means anything.
She sighed.
Brooke: Let's go, Connor. You were right, he isn't going to be fair. The police should be here any moment.
Ridge: Screw you.
Brooke: You did, and very badly, I might add.
Connor: You know, Ridge, selling your shares at that amount in exchange for not seeing the inside of a cell is pretty reasonable.
Jon: This is blackmail.
Ridge: Damn straight. We'll fight you on this.
Connor: I am really getting tired of your whining. Forty percent of the value is preferable to handing those shares over. You should be kissing my client's ass.
Ridge: You made this happen, you made me attack you.
Connor: My client made you choke her? On what planet, Ridge?
Ridge: This is extortion, and that's a crime.
Connor: You keep this crap up and the price goes down to twenty percent of the value.

Cafe Ruisse Eleven-Thirty
Stephanie sat at her favorite table and checked her watch. She was meeting Ridge after the meeting, and she didn't want to be late. She smiled, as of Brooke had probably signed the forms by now. The stupid woman wanted to marry Ridge so badly, she'd sign her own soul away, and in a few months, Ridge would find some excuse to move in, then he would dump her.
Stephanie had no guilt over the fact that a little boy was deprived of his father for the first years of his life. After all, life with Brooke was like living in a war, and there were always casualties in war.
Pierre, the waiter, came up to her table.
Pierre: Mrs. Forrester?
Stephanie: I'm not ready to order yet, thank you.
Pierre: No, you have a phone call.
He placed the phone on her table. She frowned and picked it up.
Stephanie: Hello, Darling. Don't tell me you're going to be late.
Eric: Stephanie, it's Eric. Are you expecting Ridge?
Stephanie: Yes, he's-
Eric: Didn't he call you?
Stephanie: No. But then again, I'm early.
Eric: You mean you don't know?
Stephanie: Oh, did that tramp decide to keep him? I'll bet they're screwing in that bed in her office.
She shook her head.
Eric: For God's sake, haven't you seen the news?
Stephanie: No.
Eric: Well, Ridge is out. Brooke fired him this morning.
Stephanie laughed.
Eric: Not only did she fire him, but she-just turn on the TV.
The Manager's Office, Cafe Ruisse Ten Minutes Later
Newscaster: In the world of fashion, Forrester Creations CEO Brooke Logan fired the head designer, Ridge Forrester, and announced a replacement for the high-profile, graying designer. Insiders say that at yet another high-drama board meeting, Ridge Forrester was exposed as bribing a doctor to fraudulently state that he, Ridge Forrester, was the father of Ms. Logan's son, Ridge Forrester, Junior. The source also claims that Mr. Forrester physically attacked Ms. Logan. No charges have been filed, and Ms. Logan announced her hiring of Milan-based designer Giovanni Castinelli as a replacement.
Stephanie fumed as she watched her precious son leaving the company on TV. He looked old and haggard, not his usual handsome self at all.
The whole world is watching this, she thought angrily. Her poor baby. Humiliated, disgraced, and out of the company he belonged at.
All because of Brooke.
Damn that hussy.
She grabbed her purse and stormed out of there. Screw her reservation, her baby was in pain and she was going to punish the she-devil who had done this.

Giovanni, Ridge's comeuppance was a long time coming and I couldn't be more thrilled! How like him to blame Brooke despite the fact he can be heard on tape plotting and giggling with his evil mother. He's lucky he didn't draw back a nub after putting his hands on Brooke! I love how he's not getting his way for once and had to decide between selling his stock on the cheap or going to jail. And how like Stephanie to be more concerned about her "baby" than Eric! The sick cow! This was definitely well worth the wait!

Brooke's Office Noon
Brooke sat as her desk, as she looked over a list of employees. She was seriously thinking about weeding the bad apples out, as she wasn't about to let Ridge back, and who knew where their loyalties lay. She was about to send out for a cup of Starbucks when her secretary buzzed her.
Secretary: Ms. Logan? A Stephanie Forester is here to see you.
Brooke frowned. She had a lot of calls to field, and the last thing she needed was Ridge's irate mother in her face.
Brooke: Tell her I'm-
Stephanie barged in. She was looking frazzled, and her eyes had a wild look in them. Brooke stood up and willed herself not to let this witch get to her.
Brooke: Stephanie. I didn't know we had an appointment.
Stephanie: You conniving bitch.
Brooke shrugged.
Stephanie: How could you-do this?
Brooke: He left me no choice. You know, I know you don't like me. Fine, I don't like you either, but I AM running your company, and doing quite well at it. You need to go home and let me do my job.
Stephanie: I'm not going anywhere.
Brooke: I've asked you nicely. Don't make me call security up here. That poor man has had quite a busy morning, what with him babysitting Ridge until the cops arrived.
Stephanie: You have no shame, none. My son is in pain, and all you can do is think about your job. I want you out of here.
Brooke laughed.
Brooke: You want me to leave MY company?
Stephanie: It's not yours.
Brooke: Well, after today, I will have seventy percent.
Stephanie: You're delusional. You only have fifty-five.
Brooke: Yeah, I have my fifty-five, plus the fifteen Ridge has. He's agreed to sell.
Stephanie: You forced him to do it.
Brooke: Tell that to his lawyer. He's drawing up the agreement as we speak.
Stephanie fumed. Damn this woman. She wasn't going to cave easily, so she tried another approach.
Stephanie: Leave Ridge alone, drop the charges, and stay away from his shares, and I will give you mine.
Brooke: Ten percent? I think I'll pass. That deal stays in place.
Stephanie: Look, Brooke, this-infighting is not good for your children. Think of them for once. Ridge is their father.
Brooke: No, he's not. And don't you DARE lecture me about parenting, not after the way you cheated RJ. My God, bribing a doctor? But then again, this is habit with you. Lie, and pay someone else to back your lie.
Stephanie: You know, you made it so easy for us, Brooke. Had you not spread your legs for Nick-
Brooke hauled off and slapped her.
Brooke: You are so not blaming me for your and Ridge's bribery. Now get out.
Stephanie: Where is RJ?
Brooke: With a relative. No way are you and your son going near him.
Stephanie: You can't take RJ from Ridge. He's the only father he's known.

Eric's Office Same Time
Eric sat at his desk, rubbing his temples. It had been a rough morning, and he had a feeling it was going to get rougher. He had instructed his secretary to hold his calls, as he didn't feel like dealing with the vultures.
Who would have thought Brooke had it in her, he thought. Thank God she had decided not to press charges against Ridge, even if he deserved it.
In a way, he didn't really blame Brooke for giving Ridge the ax. Eric had been in the business his entire life and he knew it could be competitive, but the idea of bribing a doctor to lie about the paternity of a child was beyond the pale. It horrified him that Ridge was capable of something like this.
Who did he get it from?
His mother, of course. Have you forgotten why you married her to begin with?
He sighed, thinking about his marriage. True, there were some times that weren't too bad, but there were more days like today when he wondered why he stayed with Stephanie.
There was a knock on the door. He cursed to himself, ready to fire his secretary. What part of "I'm not seeing anyone" did she not get?
Megan entered tentatively.
Megan: Eric? I know you said that you didn't want to be disturbed, but this just came for you.
He sighed. A package he could handle, as long as it wasn't ticking. He knew he sounded paranoid, but he wouldn't put anything past Stephanie. She was probably furious that he allowed Brooke to fire Ridge. Megan walked over to his desk and handed a manila envelope to him, then left.
Eric opened it and a cassette fell out. He absentmindedly walked over to his player and put it in, pressing the play button.
Eric's Office An Hour Later
Eric sat at his desk, looking all of his sixty years and then some. He nursed a scotch. Normally he didn't drink, but he needed at least a shot after listening to the tape. He rubbed his head, thinking that he needed a shower.
What were Stephanie and Ridge thinking?
Did they even care that they had used a child to get their way?
Probably not. It pissed Eric off that the two of them had kept him in the dark, but he wasn't surprised, as had he known what they were up to, he would have put a stop to it. Plus the crude way they discussed Brooke made him physically ill. No sane mother would have such a conversation with her adult son. He had known that she favored Ridge for years, but the easy way she discussed sex in front of him made Eric ill. And not only that, Ridge seemed to have no problem with it. Had the two of them succeeded in getting Brooke out, would Stephanie have ever told him what she and Ridge had done? Somehow he doubted it.
He sighed and picked up the phone.
Eric: Hello, Jonathon? It's Eric. I need to meet with you about filing for a divorce.

Brooke's Office Five O'Clock
Brooke picked up her briefcase, stood up, and looked at her watch. Man, what a day, she thought. Hopefully Jonathon was done with the agreement about the sale of Ridge's shares. She had left him a message earlier about meeting tomorrow with Connor to get it finalized. Then she realized she needed to talk to Eric about the plans for the company, and she wanted him to meet Giovanni. She picked up the phone and dialed.
Brooke: Eric?
Eric: Hello, Madam President.
She coughed.
Brooke: I hope I didn't disturb you.
Eric: No, I just had a meeting with Jonathon and I was planning on going home. What can I do for you?
Brooke: I think we should meet with the new designer, Giovanni. I know I shut you out today, but I needed the element of surprise for the meeting. You founded this company and I value your opinion.
Eric: Ok.
Brooke: Can you meet with me at ten tomorrow?
Eric: Certainly. I'll see you then.

WHOA! Excellent reading! Thank you, thank you, thank you for finally having Brooke slap the pee out of Stephanie! So well deserved! I couldn't believe that bitch would form her lips to whine about Brooke thinking about the children. She obviously doesn't care about the children and is only looking out for her little "boo." Hopefully, Ridge will stew where he is. I felt bad for Eric but it's wonderful that Hagzilla and her baby lizard were finally exposed for the nasty monsters they are. Get that divorce, Eric!

The Forrester Mansion Six O'Clock
Eric entered his home of forty years as if he had the weight of the world on his shoulders. He nodded at Irina as she took his coat.
Irina: Good evening, Mr. Forrester. Mrs. Forrester is waiting for you in the study.
Eric: Tell her-no, I'll do it.
He walked into the study and headed for the liquor cabinet. Stephanie immediately rose and walked over to him.
Stephanie: Eric, thank God you're here. We need to talk to a lawyer about getting Brooke's decision reversed, then we need to focus on how we rid our company of that tramp.
Eric coughed. She was so damn predictable. Not even a "Hi, Honey, how was your day."
Eric: Forget it, Stephanie, it's over.
Stephanie: No, it's not. Brooke acted illegally when she fired Ridge. I think we can get her for sexual harassment. After all, she used that company to try to seduce Ridge for years.
Eric: Did you hear me? It's over. Brooke fired Ridge over bribing the doctor.
Stephanie: She humiliated him. And she coerced him into selling his shares.
Eric: He's lucky she didn't press charges.
Stephanie: Why would SHE press charges?
Eric: Didn't you see the news? He attacked her.
Stephanie: She provoked him. It wasn't his fault. She knew that he would never agree to sell if she didn't have something to hold over his head.
Eric: I can't believe I'm hearing this. Oh, wait, yes, I can. After all, isn't Brooke to blame for every bad thing that has happened to this family?
Stephanie: Well, isn't she? After all, she stole you.
Eric: She did not steal me. You and I were separated when she and I got together. You need to let this go.
Stephanie: I can't. She very well may have destroyed my son.
Eric: Your son bribed a doctor. And he attacked Brooke, choking her.
Stephanie: Well, I'm sure that's what she told you. Anything to play the victim. I'll bet she went crying to you, demanding that you back her.
Eric: For God's sake, I was there. He had his hands around her throat. Rick, Nick, and the security guard had to pull him off.
Stephanie: My God, you're still in love with her, aren't you?
Eric: No.
Stephanie: I don't believe you. This woman has married both your sons and stolen two of her daughter's husbands, yet you still take her side. Maybe you are like her after all, she puts a man before her children, and you take her side against your own son.
Eric: Stop, just stop right there. For all your complaints against Brooke, you ignore a few facts. Your son bribed a doctor to lie about RJ's paternity, a fact you were privy to. And he choked a woman.
Stephanie: So you're not going to at least meet with a lawyer?
Eric: I already did.
Stephanie: Oh, that's wonderful. Why didn't you tell me. Now we can-
Eric: I saw a lawyer about filing for divorce.
Stephanie blinked.
Stephanie: You're not serious.
Eric: Oh, I am, Stephanie. I am tired of the lies, the paranoia, the demonization of Brooke, and the trysts with your oldest son. Did it occur to you that you make him privy to information that your husband should be privy to?
Stephanie: You mean the bribe? Well, I knew if I told you, you would take her side and I was right.
Eric: Yeah, you're always right. Like when you sicked that rapist on Brooke. But it doesn't matter. You want someone to whine about Brooke to? Fine. It's just not going to be me. I'm going upstairs to pack my bags. I will be at the Beverly Wilshire, then I am going to look into buying a condo. You can keep the house.
Stephanie: Eric, you can't leave. Think of your son.
Eric: My stepson, you mean.
Stephanie: I know you're angry at me, but Ridge has been through hell, and he needs his parents' support.
Eric: He's always had yours, no matter what he does. Somehow, I think that should be enough.
Stephanie: He's humiliated and disgraced. And out of a job. We need to be there-
Eric: He's out of a job because he tried to screw his boss over and got caught. The only thing he needs is an attitude adjustment and a reality check.
Stephanie: And that tramp hired a foreigner to replace him. I'll bet she's sleeping with him.

Taylor's Apartment Six-Thirty
Taylor entered her apartment dressed in tennis whites. She opened the closet door and put her racket in it. Damn, tennis was invigorating! She was going to make this a habit. She walked over to the refrigerator and took out a bottled water, then noticed that the light on her answering machine was blinking.
Hopefully it's Zach, she thought as she pressed the button.
Voice: Hey, sis, it's your brother. I am just calling to let you know my flight will be tomorrow afternoon at five. Looking forward to seeing LA with my sophisticated sister.
Voice: Doc, it's Ridge. If you're there, please pick up. I need to talk to you. I'm staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Voice: Doc, where ARE you?
Voice: This is my third call, why haven't you returned my calls?
She sighed. Was he always this selfish?
The phone rang. I'll bet it's him, she thought. I'd better pick up and tell him that I'll call him tomorrow.
Voice: Doc, I know you're there. I saw your rolls drive up.
Dammit.
She picked up.
Taylor: Hello, Ridge?
Ridge: Thank God you're there. I need to come up.
Taylor: Look, now's not a good time. I am getting ready to take a shower.
Ridge: Well, why don't I come up, anyway? It's not like I haven't seen you naked before.
Taylor sighed, realizing that she needed to practice what her therapist suggested, and that was being less accommodating where Ridge was concerned.
Taylor: No, Ridge. I'll call you tomorrow.
Ridge: Dammit, Doc, this is an emergency.
She felt a stab of fear.
Taylor: Is it the children? I just talked to them yesterday.
Ridge: No, it's Logan. You will not believe what she's done this time. The wedding is off.
Taylor: Ridge, come on.
Ridge: I'm serious. We are through.
Yeah, for all of five minutes.
Ridge: After all I've done for her.
Taylor thought of the way he walked out on her for her so-called hypocrisy, and gritted her teeth. Granted she had been unfaithful, but her one time with James was so long ago, and it was before they had started a family. Then she had an image of Brooke in a passionate embrace with Nick, and hoped Ridge had walked in on that.
Taylor: I'm hanging up. Whatever Brooke has done, I am sure she still loves you.
Ridge: Yeah, well, she has a strange way of showing it.
Taylor: She's marrying you, isn't she?
Ridge: Damn, you don't know?
Taylor: No.
Ridge: You're kidding. It's on the news.
What is?
As if anyone cared about his relationship with Brooke. Why would it be on the news?
Ridge: She fired me.
Taylor: Yeah, right.
Ridge: Turn in the TV.
She hung up, then picked up the remote. Her eyes widened as she watched her former husband leaving Forrester Creations. She turned the sound up and started coughing when the reporter mentioned Ridge attacking Brooke as well as Brooke hiring a replacement.

Outside Taylor's Condo Same Time
Ridge sat in his rolls, stewing. He could not believe Taylor hung up on him! He had given her years of wedded bliss, a hefty alimony settlement, and three healthy children, and she does this.
He was hoping that Taylor would at least let him sleep over, but no offer was made. And he did not want to go back to the hotel, as he didn't want to be alone. He could go to his mother's house, but there were reporters all over the place, and besides, he was furious that Eric had stood by and done nothing when Brooke fired him. It was going to take Ridge a long time to forgive this betrayal.
Jasmine's Apartment Same Time
Jasmine was making her dinner of a salad as she listened to the news. So, Brooke had fired Ridge? Well, so much for her getting her job back.[/sub]

Bridgette's Apartment Seven O'Clock
Bridgette sat on her sofa, a leather beige one from Eurway, watching the news. She sipped her coke as the shook her head in amusement.
Leave it to my mom to make the news, she thought. At least she isn't falling out of an elevator. Her guess was, the old witch and Ridge had tried to make another power grab. She had gotten phone calls from the two of them, but she told them that Rick was acting as her proxy, and they left her alone. Her face darkened when she heard that Ridge attacked her mom, and she hoped her mother had the sense to call off the wedding.
She picked up her phone and dialed.
Bridgette: Hey, Mom, it's your black sheep daughter. I saw the news and was calling to make sure you're ok. What's this about Ridge attacking you? Please tell me you're not marrying him after this.
She hung up and dialed again.
Bridgette: Hey, Rick, it's Budge. I was watching the news, and wondering what happened. Call me back so we can meet for lunch.
She hung up, only for the phone to ring again.
Screw it, I'll let the machine get it.
The machine picked up.
Ridge: Hey, Princess, it's me. We need to talk. Why weren't you at the meeting today? I sure could have used your support.
Idiot, she thought. Since seeing a counselor, she had realized how Ridge used people. In a way, she was glad he wasn't her father and Eric was. She decided that she needed to call her father and see how he was holding up, God knows he was probably feeling pretty torn if Brooke and Ridge were at odds.
The phone rang again.
Marissa: Hey, Bridge, it's me. I have a day off, so why don't we go to Spago? My treat.
That sounds like fun, she thought. She picked up.
Bridgette: Hey, partner.
Marissa: Why didn't you pick up?
Bridgette: Just monitoring my calls.
Marissa: Have you seen the news?
Bridgette: I sure have. My mom, love her or hate her, sure knows how to get headlines.
She laughed.
Marissa: This Giovanni is hot. Do you think your mom would introduce us?
Bridgette laughed.
Bridgette: Yeah, I think I could get her to play, "Take your daughter to work" day. But Spago sounds good.
