Hehe...so Widge is going to be forced to work alongside Nick, and what's more, his own laziness and stupidity brought it on. Oh, the wimp will try to turn it into a pissng contest, but I imagine FatAssimo will quickly cuff his dumb son -- he's finally realized that while blood is thicker than water, he simply cannot afford Widge's incompetence and laziness, and he certainly can't afford to have Widge worsen th situation because he wants to get back at Nick. If Widge tries to undermine Nick or otherwise engage in his jealous buffoonery, FatAssimo will have no choice but to let him go. He's a businessman, after all, and he's already let Widge get away with too much. That scene between Brooke and the Baylors was very touching. I wonder if they will form a friendship. Brooke can tell them her side of the story, which will poke even more holes in Macy's "poor little me" whinings. She's such an idiot. If she had just kept her stupid mouth shut, and taken solace in the fact that she's alive, in good health, successful, and surrounded by family and friends who love her, she wouldn't be in this situation now. But no, she had to go and invent a sob story which presents her as the blameless victim, so as to "get back" at Brooke, and Thorne. Now the fact that she killed a woman who actually was a blameless victim, is coming back to bite her on her nasty behind. Very true. No matter what the haters say, Brooke does have a heart. I remember when Shane was killed, and she referred to him as that poor boy, whereas everyone else called him scum. I think she is the only one who realized that a young person had died before their time.
And good point about Macy. At this point, I hate her as much as I hate Ridge. You are right, she should have kept her nasty mouth shut and counted her blessings instead of putting out these interviews as herself as a victim.

I don't think Brooke will be able to turn her back on the Baylors. I wholeheartedly agree with you about Macy. Her own mother and brother warned her about what her bitterness could cost her. Yet she persists in trying to paint herself as a victim and some sort of heroine, which is insulting when one considers how that accident actually occurred. Ridge is simply sub-moronic. He's so busy hating on the people in the conference room that he can't help biting off his nose to spite his stupid face. It would be just like him to refuse to accept that he and Nick are playing for the same team and doing everything he could to undermine him. Hopefully, he won't get away with it. And Ridge had better watch his step since he no longer has Forrester Creations to go running back to.

“Humph! If you ask me, she put the trash in trailer trash!” Bridget sniped. “Really?” Dr. Carl Levin asked as he and Bridget made their way down the hall toward another patient’s room. “That’s a little harsh, isn’t it? After all, I know some really good people who live in trailers—decent and hardworking, too.” Bridget mulled over Carl’s words for a few seconds and readily agreed. “You know what? You’re absolutely right,” she said with a nod. “That’s insulting to people who live in trailers and actually work for a living—unlike my sister-in-law. All this slug does is lay up in my brother’s bed and spend his money. She lounges about by the pool in my mother’s mansion and does virtually nothing else all day!” “As bad as all that, huh?” Carl asked sympathetically. “She’s the worst!” Bridget responded. “How is it that a 20-something woman can desire to get pregnant to latch onto a lavish lifestyle and knows how to achieve that goal; yet, she’s clueless about the purpose of a PSAT or SAT? How could she know so much about sex—enough to seduce a teenage boy—but so little about basic math, grammar and science? I mean, how pathological do you have to be to sleep with two guys and then run off to a dirty trailer to have your out-of-wedlock baby just in case?” “Just in case of what?” Carl asked. “Oh, I didn’t tell you, did I?” Bridget asked, pretending to be scandalized. “Well, it turns out the other guy she slept with was African American and the only reason she was sweating him and riding his jock—so to speak—was because he was this big time recording artist.” “I see,” Carl said slowly. “And, let me guess…your sister-in-law fell for the okey-doke and thought she could hitch her wagon to his, so to speak. Except, he went on to bigger and better things,” Carl theorized, “and, she thought she could have the baby in obscurity just in case he had a little, um, too much melanin. Am I right?” “Correct-o-mundo!” Bridget replied. “You can clearly see how this skank operates! And, just imagine if you were her for a second. Your baby dies and you steal your cousin’s baby just to hold onto a guy who didn’t want you in the first place.” “The guy, being your brother, I assume,” Carl murmured. “Yep! And, then she lied about this for nearly a whole year! She allowed my brother and the rest of my family to fall in love with the baby only to turn around and tell the truth. And she only spoke up because her cousin was threatening to blab. She and that twisted mother of hers—what a team of scheming sociopaths! They plotted this whole thing out while sitting by our pool with drinks in their hands and ordering our maid around!” Bridget exclaimed. As she had hoped, Carl was genuinely shocked. “What? They sound like a couple of entitled back alley grifters. Surely, your family prosecuted this young woman, didn’t they?” “You would have thought so, right?” Bridget asked, with an exasperated roll of her eyes. “Instead, this social climbing parasite is rewarded--constantly! Not only did she not spend even a night in jail, but my brother was fool enough to remarry her. Can you believe that?” “Shocking,” Carl said. “Your brother sounds like a pretty forgiving and understanding guy.” Bridget frowned at this characterization of Rick. “That’s his misfortune. He can’t see pass that little boy to recognize that his wife is still a scheming and double-dealing skank! She’s cheating on him with my ex-husband!” Bridget blurted. This caused Carl to give the matter another look. “So, you really have it in for this lady, don’t you?” “I was talking about my sister-in-law; I didn’t say anything about any lady!” Bridget acidly snapped. “My brother isn’t aware of his wife’s treachery yet, but I’m going to make it my business to ensure that he finds out!” Carl walked alongside Bridget in silence and toyed with the idea of asking her out. Initially, he had considered making a formal request to Dr. Singh to assign him another partner. She was an attractive girl and he admittedly was interested. However, Bridget’s behavior and apparent lack of maturity gave him some pause and he wondered if she was too high maintenance and would be worth the trouble. Bridget’s meltdown in the doctors’ lounge over some row she had with her mother was unsettling enough. In between rounds, she managed to start in on her sister-in-law, who, if Bridget was to be believed, was the scum of the earth. In the end, Carl decided to gauge the situation for himself. He had no real cause for complaint with the way Bridget handled the patients, which was really the only thing that mattered. With the patients, she was a mixture of compassion and professionalism. It was only when the two of them were alone that she unleashed her venom—something Carl found most unattractive. Carl was also surprised that Bridget had been married and was already divorced. Why, she’s nothing but a child, he thought. As he and Bridget reached their next patient’s room, Carl could not help wonder how Bridget’s parents could have allowed her to marry at such a young age. It was also obvious that her ex-husband had done quite a number on her. Had Carl known the whole truth about Bridget’s existence over the past few weeks, he would have immediately dismissed any romantic interest he had in her as a fool’s folly. _______________

Whoa, interesting. Carl needs to recommend that Bridgette be fired. I'm serious, why have a pit viper like her around patients? She's nasty, rude, and unstable. Plus her ranting about Amber gave me a headache, and it was unprofessional.
When IS the idiot going to have karma bite her on the ass again?

She has good reason to hate on Amber but bringing it into the work place and subjecting one of her co-workers to it is disgusting.

“On today’s Maury, we have a real doozy,” Maury Povich stated to his hyped up audience. “We have the lovely Darla, who is understandably quite distraught. You see, Darla is the mother of this beautiful little cherub—Thorne, Jr.”
“Awwwww…” the audience rapturously sighed when the image of an 18-month-old toddler with bouncy blonde curls appeared on a video monitor.
The camera then flashed to Darla, who repeatedly dabbed at her red eyes and quietly wept as Maury continued his narrative.
“And, also backstage we have Thorne, Sr., who is accompanied by his mother—”
“—BOOOO! BOOOO!” The audience interrupted Maury as the video monitor showed a bewildered looking Thorne and a grim, resolute Stephanie.
“Eighteen months ago when Darla gave birth to Thorne, Jr., Thorne, Sr. was on hand for the birth. And, get this—he even signed the birth certificate! He allowed Darla and the baby to move in with him, but Thorne’s mother, Stephanie, has put a bug in his ear and all kinds of doubts about the baby’s paternity in his head.”
“BOOOO! BOOOOO!” The audience angrily hissed, followed by catcalls of “Bastard!” “Loser!” and “Creep!” “Dude, your mother needs to get a [censored word] life!” One audience member shrieked.
“First, we’ll hear Darla’s heartbreaking story,” Maury solemnly stated.
A previously recorded Darla began to speak. “Maury, I’m so lost! I simply don’t know what to do anymore. You see, I got pregnant with Thorne, Jr. during a one-night stand. His daddy started off denying him, but he eventually came around. He asked us me to move in with him. He went with me to my doctor’s appointments, and he was so excited about being a dad!” Darla sobbed. “He was with me when the baby was born and even signed his birth certificate. He was so proud! Now, he’s trying to deny my baby all because his mother bullied him. She’s been against me from the beginning, Maury. All I want is for this nightmare to be over and to prove once and for all that Thorne is the father of my baby! Then I want Thorne to step up and be a father to his baby and for his evil mother to stay out of our lives!” Darla bawled, after which the video monitor went dark.
“Now, let’s welcome to our stage our first guest—Darla!” Maury yelled.
Darla then walked onto the stage dressed in a pair of funky blue jeans and a sheer pink blouse with ruffled sleeves. The audience cheered lustfully as if Darla was the heroine in a tragic stage play. Darla was ushered to a seat on the stage and gracefully sat down. Maury then sat in the seat next to Darla and began to engage her in conversation.
“So, Darla, you’re here because?” Maury skillfully prodded.
Having been prepped and riled up by the show’s producers in the “green room,” an enraged Darla yelled, “Maury, I’m here because I have something to say! My innocent baby has been treated like dirt by his so-called grandmother. She has been bad-mouthing me and my child even before he was born. It’s not fair, Maury!” Darla began to cry. “Just look at that precious little boy!” She pitifully entreated as the video monitor showed a cooing Thorne, Jr. backstage.
“Awwwwww…!” The audience sighed.
“How could he deny that that baby is his, Maury? HOW?!” Darla sobbed. “He looks just like him!”
“But, he didn’t always deny that your son was his, did he? I mean, this only started recently, right?” Maury sympathetically asked.
“No—that’s just it, Maury! Everything was just wonderful…we were a family! That is until that shrewish mother of his butted in and put doubts in his mind! I don’t want to get married or anything. All I want is for Thorne to be the man I know he can be and do right by us.”
“This has been quite difficult for you I can imagine. Now, let’s hear what Thorne and his mother have to say.” Maury stated.
Everyone’s attention was riveted to the television monitor. Thorne opened his mouth to speak only to be cut off by Stephanie. “Listen, Maury! It is an outrage—simply an outrage—that we were dragged onto this cheap dog and pony show on national television and humiliated like this. I’ve tried to reason with Darla, but this is it! We are done! And, the kid gloves are now coming off now! Darla, you are nothing but a cheap whore—a clever whore who tricked my son into sleeping with you! Your son is only blonde because YOU are! Claiming that that child is my son’s—well, you’re a damn liar because no one in our family looks like that! Any sailor, cretin or lowlife could be your son’s father, but MY son is NOT! Maury, we are going to prove today that this baby is NOT a member of our family, and once those paternity tests are done, I want this cheap slut AND her bastard baby out of our lives!” Stephanie roared as a miserable-looking Thorne remained silent. When Thorne finally did manage to open his mouth to speak, the video monitor dimmed.
“BOOOOOO! BOOOOOO!” “Bitch!” “Cow!” The audience chanted.
“Darla, how does it make you feel when you hear that?” Maury asked Darla, knowing full well how she felt.
“It makes me angry, Maury!” Darla cried. “Just bring him out here to face me, Maury! Bring his sorry ass out here now! I want to hear from him myself that this baby isn’t his!”
“Everybody—let’s hear it for Thorne and his mother, Stephanie!” Maury yelled.
Clad in a designer pantsuit and pearls, Stephanie immediately stormed onto the stage with Thorne, who pitifully trailed along, amidst angry catcalls and chants.
“Go to hell! You trash evidently don’t know who I am!” Stephanie snarled at the audience, which only served to whip them into a frenzy. Some audience members stood and made threatening and obscene gestures toward Stephanie. An enraged Stephanie continued to challenge the audience, screaming obscenities at them and demanding that they shut up. Thorne immediately grabbed the seat next to Darla and looked at her apologetically.
“Sit down,” Maury sternly ordered Stephanie.
Unaccustomed to having anyone ordering her to do anything, Stephanie was appalled. However, she did as she was told and grabbed a seat on the other side of Thorne. Maury then took his own seat and addressed Thorne and Stephanie.
“Thorne, you really believed that this child was yours, didn’t you?” Maury asked.
“Well, I—” Thorne began.
“No, he did NOT!” Stephanie butted in. “Tell the truth, Thorne! Maury, he thought she was lying then and we know she is lying NOW!”
Maury looked at Stephanie in exasperation. “Thorne, if this child is yours—”
“—it’s NOT!” Stephanie stridently insisted.
“Shut up!” A fed up Darla yelled and jumped out of her seat and making her way toward Stephanie, who immediately stood to meet the younger woman head on. “I’m sick of you slandering my name, you cow!”
“Slandering your name?!” An incredulous Stephanie yelled while the audience became riled up, clearly siding with Darla. “Why, you despicable tramp! You bitch!”
“Mother, stop it!” Thorne demanded.
Darla refused to be cowed any longer and boldly stood her ground and raised her hand as if to strike Stephanie at any moment. Darla’s aggressive actions were akin to waving a red garment in front of a bull, and Stephanie pushed Darla, who shoved her back.
“I want you all to sit down—right now!” Maury commanded as several backstage attendants rushed onstage to separate Darla and Stephanie.
“She makes me sick!” Darla sobbed, as she was led back to her seat by one of Maury’s aides.
Maury then took a firm hand with Stephanie, who angrily sat down. Get your hands off me!” Stephanie snapped.
Thorne shook his head in disgust and embarrassment as he took his own seat. “See what I have to deal with, Maury?” Thorne plaintively asked. “It’s nearly impossible!”
If Thorne was disgusted, Darla was even more so. “What you HAVE to put up with?!” She yelled. “Maybe if you stood up to that cow, we wouldn’t have these problems! How can you deny our son? How can you deny that he’s yours? Look at those eyes—that nose!” Darla begged as the video monitor showed Thorne, Jr. again.
Thorne quickly looked away, while Stephanie’s mouth formed into a mean, angry line.
Maury addressed Thorne again. “Thorne, why do you doubt that this baby is yours?”
“It’s not that I have doubts, Maury, but the circumstances under which this baby was conceived, well a part of me couldn’t help but wonder at first,” Thorne sheepishly admitted.
“From what I understand, this was a one-night stand,” Maury prodded.
“It was, Maury,” Thorne nodded in agreement.
“Yet, not once have I heard you accuse Darla of sleeping around; you even signed the birth certificate,” Maury commented.
“Well, I’m not saying that she did, but—”
“—I DIDN’T sleep around, Thorne, and you know it!” Darla insisted.
“LIAR!” Stephanie vehemently disagreed.
Maury gave up on Thorne and decided to engage Stephanie instead. “Okay, Stephanie, is there some reason that you have for doubting that this is your grandson?”
Stephanie, who had been itching to tell “her side” of the story immediately snapped, “You’re damn right, I have reasons to doubt it! You see, Maury, we are a wealthy family and this won’t be the first time some lying-ass slut tried to trick one of my sons into thinking that some child born on the other side of the blanket is his. Darla wants to come out here and act like she’s Little Miss Innocent when nothing can be further from the truth. You see, Maury, Thorne was in a committed relationship with my former daughter-in-law and THIS slut—my former daughter-in-law’s so-called best friend—knew that. But, she got him drunk and seduced him. But, you don’t hear anything about that, do you? Why don’t you tell THAT, Darla?” Stephanie bitterly hissed.
“I hate you!” Darla screamed.
Stephanie continued to speak and deliberately ignored Darla. “You see, Maury, Thorne is a good guy—trusting and very sweet. So if some social-climbing tramp came to him and tried to pen her brat on him, then he’s inclined to believe it. Well, I don’t and I will NEVER believe it! It’s not the first time it’s happened to my sons and it probably won’t be the last!”
“BOOOO! BOOOOO!” The audience stood and howled.
“I am NOT a social climber!” Darla interjected.
“And you know what I really find offensive?” Stephanie asked Maury, looking him dead in the eye. “Look, Maury, this show is nothing but cheap entertainment—low-class shock value entertainment designed to appeal to the lowest common denominator. I know it, you know it and the American people know it. I can’t believe we were dragged onto this low-class show and embarrassed on national TV because of this tramp and heckled by low-class trash!”
Stephanie was greeted by a rousing chorus of boos. Maury good naturedly shrugged off Stephanie’s criticism and asked, “And what if this child turns out to be your grandchild after all, Stephanie; what then? Would you be willing to accept him into your family and into your heart?”
“We’ll cross that bridge when we get there,” Stephanie coldly replied.
“He IS your grandchild!” Darla snapped.
“What about you, Thorne?” Maury asked. “If this child is, indeed, yours, are you prepared to step up?” Maury asked.
“Absolutely, Maury,” Thorne answered without hesitation while Stephanie rolled her eyes in irritation. The audience applauded.
“Just get on with the damn test results!” Stephanie rudely spat.
“Which is exactly why we’re here,” Maury nodded. “And, without further ado, we’ll do just that,” Maury said as the audience cheered.
“Bring it on, Maury!” Darla entreated.
With a great deal of ceremony, Maury opened the envelope. “Thorne, when it comes to 18-month-old Thorne, Jr.—Thorne, you ARE the father!” Maury dramatically announced.
The audience roared while an emotional Darla jumped up and sobbed, “See—I told you he was yours! I told you!”
Thorne quickly stood and he and Darla tearfully embraced one another. The only fly in the ointment was an equally emotional Stephanie, who refused to accept the authenticity of the results.
She hurled herself to the floor and repeatedly screamed, “NOOOOOOO! NOOOOOOO! NOOOOOOO!”
Maury immediately bent down and put his arm around Stephanie, who attempted to brush him off. He quietly spoke to Stephanie and attempted to bring some order to a chaotic situation. “Stephanie, I know this isn’t news you wanted to hear, but you have a grandchild and he is the only thing that matters here,” Maury said.
However, Stephanie shook her head in denial. “It’s a trick! I want those tests run again!” A distraught Stephanie yelled as tears streamed down her face.
“So you will never accept that this child is your son’s and your grandson?” Maury quietly asked.
“Never,” Stephanie replied with devastating finality. … Darla quietly opened her eyes as she rubbed her stomach. A lone tear escaped and fell down her cheek. Obviously, she would never subject herself or Thorne’s family to the likes of Maury; this was her nightmare scenario, she thought. Darla had always given herself credit for being a tough cookie. While she was under no illusions that Stephanie would be receptive to the news of her pregnancy, Stephanie’s reaction was still shocking. Calling her an idiot? Darla was well aware of how ditzy she could be but most people found that to be an endearing part of her personality. No one had ever called her stupid or idiotic until today, and Stephanie’s hurtful words devastated her. The things Stephanie said and implied about the baby were even more devastating. Thorne, ever the gentleman, took one look at Darla’s stricken face and gently asked her to excuse herself while he dealt with his mother himself. Darla silently nodded and quietly left the kitchen and settled into Thorne’s den. All she could think about was the little miracle inside of her, along with the sonogram, and wondered how anyone could be so cruel toward a baby especially their own flesh and blood. Darla already knew that it would be a cold day in hell before Stephanie apologized—not that she expected it. Darla’s protective instincts toward the little life in her body kicked into high gear. Given Stephanie’s venomous reaction, she would do anything to protect her baby. Now, she knew that there would be no way in hell that she would ever allow Stephanie anywhere near her child. _______________

Whoa, excellent reading.
Poor Darla! She is really getting it, isn't she? Not only does she have Macy and Sally pissed at her, but she is having nightmares about the Hag. She doesn't deserve this kind of stress.
Let's hope Thorne lets his mother have it in no uncertain terms.
Finally someone expresses the appropriate reaction to Hag-no way does she have any business being around small children.

It's amazing that Darla (or anyone else) had to have such an extreme daydream to understand just how truly unfit and dangerous Stephanie is. I agree that Darla doesn't deserve this kind of stress right now, but when one gets pregant by a Forrester, a stress-free pregnancy is a foreign concept.

While the board members awaited Nick’s arrival, Massimo walked over to a nearby sideboard to refill his coffee cup. He was quite pleased with the way things had gone so far. For his part, Ridge sought an opportunity to speak to Massimo about the board’s decision—a decision he deemed wrong-headed and foolish. Ridge grabbed his coffee cup and quickly stood. He then quietly sidled up next to Massimo under the guise of refilling his cup. “You know, I’m really disappointed,” Ridge murmured low enough for only Massimo to hear. Ever the wily fox, Massimo diligently studied his coffee cup and smirked. “And, what is it that you’re so disappointed about?” “It’s this decision to have Popeye, uh, Nick Payne to second-chair me on this South China Sea project. Frankly, I’ve never heard of anything so ridiculous! If anything, instead of second-chairing me, he will be second guessing me and trying to embarrass me and show me up.” An insecure Ridge whined. Massimo chuckled richly before responding, “Do you realize, Ridge, that you have used the word, ‘me,’ several times just now? Exactly when did a business decision become all about you?” Ridge had the good grace to look away in embarrassment. He momentarily pursed his lips, and his face took on a blank, vacuous look, which was customary whenever he was posed with a question or dilemma he did not want to directly address. Knowing he had been called out, Ridge sighed in frustration. “Look, I didn’t mean it the way it sounded,” he said quickly. “Of course, this isn’t about me. This is about placing that punk—a rank amateur in a position of authority. He knows about the South China Sea as much as—” “—as much as you do?” Massimo inquired in amusement as he effectively cut Ridge off. “Let’s get something straight, Ridge. Dominick will not be second-chairing you. He is your co-chair; there is a distinct difference, you know. That means his authority will be equal to yours. Given Dominick’s expertise in this arena, I should think that you would welcome his input.” “He needs to be back on the deck of his tugboat or little ship where he belongs!” Ridge said angrily, as his voice began to rise. Massimo merely looked at Ridge and laughed lightly. “I seem to recall that the last time you were on the deck of a ship was when you took your family on that Southern Caribbean cruise a couple of years ago. Am I mistaken?” Massimo asked. “Say what you want about Dominick, but he knows the sea like the back of his hand and the men under his command are loyal to him. He will be able to get down to brass tacks and gather the information needed without indulging in a lot of minutiae.” Ridge silently fumed and was tempted to scream. He did not want that broken down sailor hijacking this project! “What exactly is that supposed to mean?” “Surely, you aren’t that obtuse?” Massimo quizzically asked. Without waiting for a response, Massimo stated, “What it means, son, is that what Dominick does on the deck of his ship—as you so quaintly put it—requires more than just lounging about in a deck chair, drinking rum punches, and slathering tanning lotion on his body.” Before a fed up Ridge had a chance to respond to what was undoubtedly a thinly veiled description of himself, Harvey Golden saved Ridge from any further insults or putdowns when he stealthily crept up behind Massimo and Ridge and interrupted their private conversation. “Ahem…excuse me,” Harvey said politely—a move that nearly pushed Ridge over the edge. Why was this smug bastard always so damned polite? Ridge wondered to himself. “Yes, Harvey,” Massimo responded. “I’m sorry, Massimo, but I thought that before Captain Payne arrived that I could get you to officially sign off on this resolution. My assistant has already typed it and printed it out; all it requires is your signature, and I have the corporate seal here.” “Of course,” Massimo readily agreed, signaling to Ridge that their discussion was over. Ridge, never one to take a hint lightly, objected in his own way. “Actually, I’m not sure that we’re done here!” He boldly stated as he shot daggers at a nonchalant Harvey. “Oh, but I believe we are done,” Massimo firmly corrected Ridge. Before he and Harvey walked away from Ridge, however, Massimo could not resist taking a parting shot. “In the future, Ridge, if you feel very strongly about something, you need to speak up and put your objections on the record instead of meekly going along with everyone else. That is the mark of a true leader. A real leader sticks his neck out and takes a stand even when it’s unpopular. He’s willing to risk the scorn of the rest of the group because he feels that strongly about his position and he won’t back down without a fight. Now, maybe at Forrester Creations, you didn’t have to do worry about that because everyone was on the same page; this is a different environment however.” Ridge turned as red as a beet and could barely speak. “Meaning?” He managed to squeak. “Meaning,” Massimo replied, “that it’s quite cowardly to vote ‘aye’ on the record and then secretly voice your displeasure and surreptitiously campaign to get a different outcome. Consider it a lesson learned.” Massimo concluded as the conference room door opened. _______________

Excellent reading!
Boy, Ridge is a moron! Mass is right, it's all about him. I loved the dig about Ridge's trip. I can just see the buffoon, lying on his butt, smeared in tanning oil and tossing back drinks.
I am also dying to read about Ridge's reaction to Nick, methinks he is going to step in it again.
It is just like Ridge to vote with the majority, only to turn around and whine. Idiot! I half expected him to screech and call Nick names.

Oohh, this latest installment is delicious..and definitely whets my appetite for the next installment!!! Since the show itself is so rotten, I'm more than happy to read this wonderful fic and the other wonderful fics, which tell B&B as it ought to be and does justice to the characters and the show's history.
Ugly is such a wimp. He wasn't man enough to oppose the motion for Nick to be his co-chair, then afterward he goes whining to SpermDaddy...only to get his face cracked yet again when SpermDaddy a) gives him no sympathy; b) all but calls him a lazy, ignorant fool; c) flat-out calls him a coward; and d) demonstrably shows that Ugly's hated enemy, "Popeye," is more qualified than Ugly himself to run this project.
Poor widdle Widge. Not. He's been given a free ride for far too long. It's nice to see him face the music, but not have an "out" -- if he blows it at Marone Industries, he can't go running back to Forrester Creations.

I am dying to see Ridge step in it again, when Nick arrives. And I love the fact that, when (Not if) he blows it at MI, he won't have FC to run back to.
And it is just like Ridge to whine to Mass about Nick "High jacking HIS project," as this is nothing more than a pissing contest with him. He knows less about the project than a five-year-old, but that isn't going to stop him from trying to hog the power.
I keep thinking that, in five seconds, he will toss one of his ugly scarves around his neck and snap, "That's it! Popeye goes or I go," and stomp out the door.

Ladies, thank you for your comments! Ridge is nothing but a big crybaby, who was used to having his way at Forrester Creations. Although Massimo made him the No. 2 man at Marone Industries, Ridge is still a little fish swimming in a much bigger pond and it kills him when he's made aware of it in so many different ways. While Ridge is, indeed, moronic, he won't be quitting anytime soon. As LaLogan pointed out, he no longer has the cushion of Forrester Creations to fall back on. And given the bad publicity and his growing legal problems, it's not as if any other fashion house will touch him right now.

“You know, Mother, you really are a piece of work,” Thorne said with deadening calm. Stephanie merely looked at Thorne in annoyance. “I am?” She asked in surprise. “The slurs you used against Darla are despicable! How could you be so cruel?” Thorne demanded. Stephanie was truly taken aback. So what if Darla got her little feelings hurt? Stephanie coldly asked herself. How else was she supposed to react when yet another of her sons went slumming in the gutter for an incubator to carry a Forrester grandchild? Stephanie then refocused her attention on Thorne. Lord, Thorne was a fool; he always was, she surmised. Stephanie figured that she had one opportunity to undo the damage and did not want to waste any more time worrying about Darla’s precious little feelings. However, in her desperation to set Thorne straight, she unwittingly made things worse for herself. “You really don’t get it, do you?” A disgusted Thorne asked. “Son, I suspect that it’s you who just doesn’t get it!” Stephanie insisted. “Oh, I get it alright. I get it perfectly.” Thorne coldly replied. However, Thorne’s comment was totally lost on Stephanie. “My God, Thorne! How could you be so—so utterly stupid?” She asked in the voice she used to scold him with when he was a child. “Good Lord, son! You actually slept with that dullard, Darla!” Stephanie shrieked as if she had just discovered that Thorne had gone on a multi-state killing spree and contracted a communicable disease to boot. “I would suggest you get a hold of yourself. All that isn’t even necessary.” Thorne commented. Thorne’s attitude caused Stephanie to become even more distraught. “Think, Thorne! Think!” Stephanie begged. “How do we know that there even is a baby? How do we know that this pregnancy is even real and not some trick by a clever opportunist?” “Do you mean a clever opportunist like yourself?” Thorne asked with an ironic smile. An offended Stephanie reared up. “How dare you?” She hissed. “Look, I have taken a lot of guff from your father, Ridge and your sisters, but I will not take this from you! I can’t believe you would have the nerve to say that to my face! You should get down on your hands and knees and thank God that you have a mother who is concerned about your welfare. You should also beg for my forgiveness!” Thorne laughed outright at Stephanie’s histrionics. He couldn’t help it; this was some funny sh*t! Thorne thought. His raucous laughter then turned into a light chuckle. “ You, Mother? I should actually beg for your forgiveness after the shame you brought onto this family? I should beg for your forgiveness after witnessing firsthand the hell my father just went through? You—who lied about Ridge’s paternity for how many years? You, who left Dad to go and live in open lust with your lover, who just happens to be Ridge’s biological father? You, who did everything to ensure that Ridge got the best of Forrester Creations although you knew he wasn’t dad’s biological son? I should beg your forgiveness? Really?” Thorne scathingly asked. With each accusation, Stephanie took a shallow breath. Her eyes flickered angrily at the effrontery of Thorne—Thorne!—throwing her sins up in her face. A resolute Stephanie took on a grim look. “I explained all that to your father,” Stephanie brusquely replied with a frown. “Besides, we aren’t talking about me right now. This is about you and the mistake you are about to make! This pregnancy—this isn’t real!” “Does this look unreal to you?” Thorne angrily demanded. He reached into his pocket and whipped out the sonogram picture that had been taken the day before and shoved it under Stephanie’s nose. Stephanie’s eyes widened in horror. “What—what’s that?” She asked with trepidation. Although she was well aware of what it was, she quickly looked away, not wanting to see and refusing to acknowledge the truth that was staring her in the face. “Look at it, Mother! This is your grandchild—your flesh and blood!” Stephanie vigorously shook her head in denial and grabbed the countertop to keep from falling to the floor in a dead faint. “This proves nothing!” She hollered. “You nut-less fool, it’s a trick! I bet Darla gave you that sonogram picture and told you that it was hers and fool that you are, you believed it. You asked no questions whatsoever!” “Yeah, kind of the way no one asked any questions when Taylor finally told the truth about Thomas’ paternity,” Thorne coolly noted. “Hey! That is not fair!” Stephanie screamed. “ You put Taylor up to it and pressured her to keep quiet—you and Brooke. I’m shocked that you would even compare a fine woman like Taylor to a useless trollop like Darla.” “Oh, I get it now. When Taylor is called out as a liar, it’s always someone else’s fault. Darla has been nothing but honest, but it doesn’t matter because according to you, she’s trash. Well, Mother, I was there when the sonogram was performed!” Thorne angrily snapped, disabusing Stephanie of any notion of any trickery or deceit on Darla’s part. “I still don’t believe it!” Stephanie stubbornly railed. “You know, this whole thing is really starting to piss me off! Just because you were there, doesn’t mean that this sonogram was real! I saw this particular trick play out on a soap opera just a few months ago, where a doctor was blackmailed into faking a sonogram even though his patient wasn’t pregnant. I bet you didn’t even check out Darla’s doctor, did you? Did you even wonder how much money exchanged hands and what kind of information Darla was holding over this doctor’s head? Damn! And, you just fell into Darla’s trap hook, line and sinker!” Thorne looked at his mother as if she had suddenly sprouted two heads. “Do you realize how ridiculous you sound?” He contemptuously asked. “You really believe that Darla has the presence of mind to engage in an elaborate hoax of the sort you described? Are you crazy?” “Some women will do anything to land a Forrester,” Stephanie claimed with a straight face. “Yeah, kind of the way you did anything to land Dad, huh?” Thorne sarcastically asked. Stephanie rolled her eyes heavenward and clenched her fists. “Are we still complaining about that?” “Yes, Mother—we’re still complaining about that! Let’s talk about what some women are willing to do to ‘land a Forrester,’ as you say. Some will lie about their conception dates under the guise of being ‘confused.’ Some will use their pregnancies to dupe men into breaking up with their long-time girlfriends. And, if the man in question is a decent guy—hello!—they’ll play him for over 40 years until their lies are exposed!” Thorne ranted. “I see you have developed quite a vicious tongue—just like your father!” Stephanie spat. “Well, at least I know he is my father!” Thorne retorted with a malevolent gleam in his eye that surprised Stephanie. “I mean, that is what it says on my birth certificate.” “Of course, Eric is your father!” Stephanie hollered. “And, besides I don’t see what this has to do with—” “Of course, you don’t see what your own lies and deceit have to do with Darla’s pregnancy. Don’t worry; you’ll find out soon enough.” Thorne cryptically said with a smile. “What—what is that supposed to mean?” Stephanie nervously asked. Thorne looked at her and grinned before asking, “Wouldn’t you like to know? You know, Mother, up until this morning, I had some sympathy for you and hoped that once the dust settled, you and Dad could amicably part ways. Now? Let’s just say that what goes around comes around and that Dad has my full support.” “Your full support?” Stephanie asked. “Your full support for what?” When Thorne did not answer her, she frantically grabbed Thorne’s arm and yelled, “Thorne, I’m talking to you! What is your father up to?” Thorne jerked himself away from Stephanie and said, “You’ll find out soon enough. Now, get the hell out of my house!” _______________

Oh, NO, SHE DIDN'T! >:(She so did NOT blame Thorne, her own child, for Taylor lying about Thomas.
What can I say, MissJR, but you are on FIRE! I was wondering how Thorne would react to the she-beast and her nonsense. This surpasses my expectations!
Heavens, Hag is awful! And her referring to Darla as an incubator was really low. Ok, she didn't say it out loud, but she thought it. And her claim that "Some women would try anything to land a Forrester" is rich, considering her prized brat isn't a Forrester.
I am loving Thorne in this story! He is on a roll, calling that witch on her lies and hypocrisy. This is how Thorne should be written.
Again, great installment, I will reread it and comment later.

Well, I just had to add to my opinion of this jaw-dropper....and I have bolded some gems...“You know, Mother, you really are a piece of work,” Thorne said with deadening calm. Thorne should have shown her the sonogram and told her. "Take a look at your grandchild, Mother, because this is the only time you will ever see him/her." It is long past time that Thorne woke up and started thinking for himself. He has seen firsthand that Stephanie will choose even Taylor over him. Taylor lies about her brat's paternity; but, it's Thorne and Brooke's thought. Never mind the numerous opportunities Taylor had to come clean throughout her entire gestation and beyond. It shouldn't be lost on Thorne either just how delighted Stephanie was when she learned that precious Thomas was actually Ridge's. Her vicious tongue has once again gotten her into hot water and she will find out soon enough just what Eric has in store for her when he starts demanding that the paternity of ALL of his children be addressed. Had she simply kept her lips shut and not dogged Darla out, she might still have had a sympathetic ally in Thorne, who only wants what's best for both his parents.

Amber partially opened the front door. “Yes? May I help you?” She nervously asked the uniformed officer. She took one look at the police cruiser parked outside and nearly passed out. “I’m looking for Ambrosia M. Forrester, along with Eric Forrester, II. Are either of them home?” The sheriff’s deputy asked. “Uh, I’m Amber—Ambrosia Forrester,” Amber softly replied. “And, my husband is at work. Excuse me, but are we in some kind of trouble?” She asked. “Are you over 18 and authorized to accept service of process on behalf of your husband?” The sheriff’s deputy asked without cracking a smile. “Um, yes and yes,” Amber replied. What in the world was going on? She wondered. Before she realized it, the sheriff’s deputy slipped two envelopes into Amber’s hand. “Consider yourselves served then. Have a good day, ma’am,” the sheriff’s deputy stated as he turned and walked away. “Served?” Amber gulped. As Amber watched the sheriff’s deputy depart, a sense of panic overcame her. She looked at the large envelopes as if they were snakes that would bite her at any moment. “Sir, wait! Wait a sec!” She called in vain. However, the sheriff’s deputy all but ignored her. He then got into his cruiser and drove off. This was bad; she just knew it! A panic-stricken Amber thought. She woodenly closed the door, and the cold hand of fear clutched her heart. Her legs wobbly, Amber walked into the great room and sat on a nearby sofa. She glanced at the two envelopes in her hand and her eyes widened like saucers when she saw the heading: OFFICIAL GRAND JURY SUMMONS. Amber was momentarily paralyzed. Oh, God! She knew this was bad news! A dozen thoughts raced through her mind as to what it all meant and how she should respond. She knew there were people who hated her and who would stop at nothing to destroy her—even digging into her background and having her dragged into court on criminal charges. “But, I didn’t do anything!” Amber sighed. “At least, not this time.” And, what had Rick done to warrant being hauled into court? Amber asked herself. Her initial inclination was to tear up the summonses, toss them in the trash and pretend she never received them. Yet, she instinctively knew that she and Rick would get into some kind of trouble if she did that. “I just won’t go!” A determined Amber decided. However, she knew that was not an option either. Amber then decided to wait until Rick got home, figuring that they could face the bad news together and then figure something out. Ultimately, Amber’s curiosity got the better of her and she was unwilling to wait for Rick. With trembling hands, she carefully tore the perforations on the envelope addressed to her until it was opened. When she read the summons, she breathed a sigh of relief. Amber’s face then split into a wide grin: The People of Los Angeles v. Ridge Forrester“Now I get it!” Amber exclaimed. She now realized that she and Rick were being commanded to appear before a grand jury to give testimony regarding the activities that led up to Ridge’s arrest. Amber recalled Ridge’s harassing phone calls and the creepy visit that prompted her to contact the authorities. That he actually returned just to harass Brooke still surprised her. As Amber thought about the events of that day, her finger unconsciously touched the court’s official raised seal, which was affixed above the signature of the Honorable Cecily Gannon, and countersigned by the Clerk of the Court. Amber could not grinning like a Cheshire cat. Boy, she could hardly wait to bury that cockroach! She thought. _______________

Like Amber, I was starting to worry at the deputy at her door. My first thought was, "Damn! Ridge found out some dirt!"
Imagine my relief when it turns out she is being summoned to testify against Ridge! Priceless!
I am DYING to see Amber take the stand and bury the jerk. However, I am worried about her pesky former scams coming to light, as we all know Ridge's lawyer will bring them out.
And it would be just like Amber to tear the summons up in a panic, but thank God she didn't.

Hehe! Great installments. Even though I'm not a fan of Amber's I could relate to how she felt...scared to death that the summons meant bad news for her and/or Rick courtesy of Widge. Well, it's the other way around...and I completely sympathize with her glee at the thought of testifying against that scumbag, Widge. Gio, I too can easily see Widge's lawyer bringing up Amber's past scams as a way to destroy her credibility. In all honesty, there are plenty of scams to choose from...and Amber never did face the music for any of them. However, even if Widge's lawyer totally discredits Amber, she's only ONE of at least FIFTEEN witnesses who are being/will be subpoenaed. Widge broke many laws that day, and could have seriously injured or even killed many innocent citizens, all because he couldn't face the fact that his scummy ass had been dumped. I'm sure Officer Powell will be MORE than happy to testify as to the various laws Widge broke. Also, Rick knows about Amber's misdeeds, and so does Brooke. They've forgiven her, or, in the case of Brooke, moved past it -- especially since she knows she has yet to drop the bombshell about Hope's paternity to Rick and Amber, and she understands better than anybody what it's like to be treated like garbage for your transgressions, even when you've done everything to make up for them. So while Amber will surely be embarrassed if Widge's lawyer brings up her scams in court, it's not like it'll result in Amber being kicked into the street. Fang is just...I wish Thorne would make good on what he said earlier and slap her face! She is just beyond belief...her gall is bottomless, her hypocrisy off the charts, and her sheer nastiness, cruelty, and viciousness is stupefying. Anyone with a shred of decency and who had any sense of self-reflection would be a tad more judicious in what they said/did, but not Fang. She acts like her own lies, sins, crimes, etc. are "old news" and people are "overreacting" to them, but feels free to call people she snobbily considers beneath her all kinds of names. And to hear that bitch wail about Eric's treatment of her, you'd think she was in rags and being forced to panhandle. She's traipsing about in silks and linens, being waited on hand and foot by her wealthy thug of an extramarital lover, and Eric is going to give her $10K a month in their divorce. Someone needs to tell her to SHUT HER FACE, and if she refuses, shut it for her. With a sledgehammer.

When I first started reading, I thought, "Oh, crap! Don't tell me RIDGE will be in a position to screw Amber over."
I am dying to see Officer Powell take the stand. Let's see, a cop or a stalker, I know who I'd believe.
Let's just hope Ridge's little partner in perversion doesn't reach him first with her gossip about Deacon and Amber in the park.

Been a while again since my last read. I know, shame on me doggone it! I just loved Thorne calling Hag to task the way he did even if she did just blow off all of her own trangressions as if they didn't count. Typical Hag. At least she got called on them. I actually like Amber. I think she is dippy and ditzy, but I still find her endearing in a way that I really cannot explain. I'm glad she'll be testifying against Ridge. I'm sure Ridge's counsel will try to eat her alive, but I'm thrilled to death she'll be putting a few nails in Ridge's coffin anyway. Hopefully, she'll come out with barely a scratch.
