"Girl, you have no idea how happy I am to see you!" Kristen screamed joyfully, as she flung her front door open. "And you have no idea how thrilled I am to see you!" Felicia grinned. The two sisters embraced tightly for a long time. Kristen, who was tall, willowy, blonde, and sweet natured, was the total opposite of her younger sister, who was petite, dark-haired and feisty. "It's about time you decided to bring your little butt home!" Kristen teased good-naturedly. She picked up Felicia's Louis Vuitton garment bag and matching valise. Felicia grinned as she closed the front door behind her and followed Kristen into the spacious and beautifully decorated living room. The decor reminded Felicia so much of Kristen herself—ultra feminine and sophisticated. Felicia unceremoniously plopped down onto a brushed suede, muted pink armchair. Kristen put Felicia's bags down and sat across from her on a matching chaise lounge, tucking her feet behind her to make herself more comfortable. She shook her head, noting that Felicia had always been the rebel of the family. Like their mother, Felicia had very strong opinions and did not hesitate to voice them. Kristen also admired Felicia's eclectic and avant-garde sense of style. "How cute! Your outfit actually matches the furniture." Kristen laughed in a musical tone. "Is that one of your own designs?" "Oh, this." Felicia replied with a careless wave of her hand. "Yeah. It's mine." She said, nonchalantly, trying to downplay her pride in her own work. Her rose-tinted silk dupioni pantsuit had been custom-designed to fit her petite frame. A pair of matching mules, along with silver and turquoise-accented jewelry complemented her look. "Well, it's great!" Kristen nodded in approval. "I do wish you would consider coming back to work at Forrester. With Brooke in charge, I know the company would be a lot more receptive to your funky style." "Naaaahh!" Felicia shook her head and frowned. "I'm happy just where I am—working independently and doing my own thing. Besides, I don't want or need the drama." "Well, give it some thought anyway." Kristen suggested. "By the way, I was surprised when you called me from the airport to tell me you were in town." "Well, what else was I supposed to do? When Dad called me late last night and practically ordered me to come home, I got a feeling that I had no choice." "Oh, so Dad ' ordered' you to come home, huh?" Kristen laughed. "Since when did you start taking orders from our parents?" "Well, I guess there's a first time for everything." "Well, as usual, you're a day late and a dollar short. The wedding was actually yesterday." Kristen reprimanded. "Oh, yes—the wedding. The 'Wedding of the Year,' the 'Wedding of the Century,' the 'Wedding of Weddings,' or whatever!" Felicia scoffed. "When I got that invitation, I just looked at it and laughed. I can start a scrapbook with all the invitations I've gotten to Ridge's weddings with the interchangeable brides. Which one is this anyway? Number nine hundred and ninety-nine?" "You're SO bad!" Kristen cackled. "Well, you should have come. Believe me, you really missed a treat." "A treat? Surely, you jest! You must be talking about the wedding cake. I simply refused to participate in that spectacle yesterday. Humph! By now, you would think that Brooke's own family would be just as bored and fed up with these trips down the aisle as I am." Felicia said with disdain. "Well, it was quite the affair." Kristen murmured with a twinkle in her eye. "I just bet it was." "It had everything that Forrester weddings are known for—glamour, suspense and LOTS of drama!" Kristen said coyly. "Umm hmm. Well, it wouldn't be a Brooke and Ridge wedding without SOME kind of drama, would it?" Felicia snippily asked. Kristen laughed. "Sis, you don't know the half of it!" "Let me guess …Taylor's ghost showed up and objected, right?" "Felicia!" A horrified Kristen gasped. "Don't even joke about something like that!" "Oh, don't go getting your undies in a twist!" Felicia snapped impatiently. "You and I both know that Taylor was so pressed to hang on to Ridge, that if the laws of nature allowed it, she would have found a way to express her displeasure from the grave." "Whatever your feelings, it's not nice to speak ill of the dead." Kristen chided. Felicia merely rolled her eyes. "Pffftt! Well, being dead sure didn't stop Taylor from being the spoiler the last time, did it?" She sneered, her eyes snapping waspishly. "Felicia." Kristen said sternly. "Taylor's gone now, and nothing would be served by dredging up old dirt." "Old dirt, she says." Felicia muttered. A scowl covered her pretty face, as she recalled the things Taylor's brother, Zach, confided in her about. "You're frowning." Kristen observed. "Sorry; of course, you're right. Nothing would be served by dwelling on the negative." Felicia said dryly. "And, besides we were talking about the drama at Ridge's house yesterday." "Drama she says. I just bet Ridge called it off at the last minute, didn't he?" Felicia asked in disgust. "Unbelievable. I just knew Ridge would do something like this! It's so typical of him to wait until the invitations are mailed, the caterer is hired, the bride gets dressed and all the guests show up—just for him to weasel his way out of it." "Well, not quite—" "I bet Brooke bawled her eyes out and begged Ridge to change his mind, didn't she?" "Actually—" "How could he do that? If Ridge had doubts, he should have thought about that before he asked Brooke to marry him again. See, it couldn't have been me! He would have only had to do it to me just once." "I know what you mean, but—" "See, this is what happens when you don't DEMAND to be treated with respect!" Felicia huffed. Again, Kristen attempted to explain what happened, but to no avail. "But—" "It's the same thing over and over! NOW, you know why I chose not to be bothered. NOW, do you see why I keep my butt home and try not to get caught up in this foolishness? NOW—" "Felicia, please! Will you shut it?" Kristen snapped in exasperation. "What?" An oblivious Felicia blinked. "Do you mind if I get a word in edgewise?" Kristen asked. "Oh, sure. Sorry." "As I was trying to say, things were different this time." "I don't get it. How was this time different from all the other times?" "It so happens that as predictable as Ridge and Brooke can be, even they manage to have a few surprises up their sleeves." "Surprises? What surprises?" Felicia asked, excited in spite of herself. "Well, they at least made it to the altar and they got as far as the vows. The wedding was halted, but it wasn't Ridge who stopped it." "Mother?" Felicia asked. "Oh, she was actually pretty well-behaved. On the one hand, she seemed relieved, but on the other, she seemed a little worried about something." "I just bet she was." Felicia winked before laughing. "Oh, wait a minute! You're not saying that Brooke—" "That's EXACTLY what I'm saying. BROOKE was the one who called it off." _______________

:)Awesome, MissJR! I want MORE!!! How I would LOVE to see THIS Felicia, the feisty, take-charge rich girl/rebel instead of the pitiful creature who lost a toy "man" to the Twit. Oh, here's an idea-have a triangle with Deacon, Felicia, and BooHoo. There is history there, and it is a triangle with the twit I would watch. Besides, Deacon needs an itch to scratch when he isn't telling FatAssimo how it is.

I was kind of toying around with a Felicia/Deacon pairing. They're both high-voltage individuals, and no doubt Felicia would be time enough for Deacon. Plus, I seriously doubt that Deacon would be in it just for the money this time around. While Felicia gets the added "thrill" out of sticking it to mommy, she would also be with a partner who isn't afraid of her and whose personality is as strong--if not stronger--than hers. As for a triangle with the twit, that is a thought. You know, how she can't stand it when she's not the center of attention.

"High-voltage," now THAT is a good description for both Felicia and Deacon. And neither character would overshadow the other. Can you imagine the look on Hag's face if Felicia brought a tux-clad Deacon to one of Hag's parties? Not to mention Twit! I'll bet the sight of Felicia and Deacon holding hands would guarantee that she would not only forget that he screwed her mother, it would be, "Nick who," and we would all be subject to her whining to daddy about how she just cannot lose another man to Felicia.

LOL! I can't imagine this version of Felicia engaging in that juvenile nonsense the onscreen Felicia did last year either to get Dante's attention. LK is such a strong actress, and it was a travesty to pair her opposite ASJ who, while a gorgeous specimen, can't act his way out of a paper bag. As a result, she came across looking like a dominatrix opposite a milksop. She also looked like a bully opposite the weaker and whinier AJ, which was probably the intent all along just to drum up sympathy for Bridget.

"My man!" Jason, a tall, handsome and bald brown-skinned man greeted Nick. The two men affectionately hugged one another. "How's it going?" Nick asked. "Not too bad. Haven't seen you around here in a minute." Jason remarked. "How can you tell?" Nick cracked with a twinkle in his eye. "I know you ain't had a decent haircut or shave since the last time I hooked you up, and that was—um—let me see—how long ago was that anyway?" "Okay, okay! You don't have to go there." Nick laughed easily as he sat in the barber's chair. Jason wrapped a thin strip of paper around Nick's neck and placed a warm towel around his shoulders. With a flourish, Jason draped a cape over Nick and fastened it. "What you been up to?" Jason asked. "I'm just getting back from Mexico." "Ummm um! Some mighty fine women down there." Jason whistled, as he gathered the implements of his trade. "Well, I didn't have time to check out the ladies. It was strictly business." Nick cryptically replied, deliberately omitting any mention of the devastating accident that injured him and took so many lives. "Well, I don't know how long you were in Mexico, but your beard is lookin' kind of jacked up. What do you want done?" Jason asked. "The usual." Nick coolly responded. Look, Nick. Now WHY you trying to front like you come in here every week when your face suggests otherwise? Could you at least refresh my recollection as to what 'the usual' actually is?" "Harty har har!" Nick replied dryly. "Evidently, you're getting senile in your old age. That's probably why you shave your head completely bald—trying to hide your receding hairline and the fact that you're going gray." Nick replied. "Hey— don't sleep! It so happens the ladies like 'em big, Black and bald these days!" Jason said as he ran his large hands over his smooth pate. Nick and the other patrons laughed loudly. "Ignore his old ass!" A younger patron exiting the shop good-naturedly advised Nick. "Jason's been talkin' that big, Black and bald crap ever since Wesley was in New Jack City and he STILL can't get no play!" The young man joked. The other men laughed. "Look nephew, I thought I told you to get to walking. Or, don't you see that two MEN are talking?" Jason asked, letting the subtle slur about the youth's manhood hang in the air. The other men, including Nick, exchanged ""ooohhhhs"" and other catcalls, acknowledging that Jason got in a good one at the younger man's expense. "Oh, so now you wanna show off just 'cuz you got the 'White Shadow' all up in here, right?" The young man asked as he strolled over to Jason's station and menacingly stood in front of Nick with his arms folded. With a smirk, he stared Nick down, daring him to flinch. The barbershop grew silent, as the other men looked on with keen interest. Nick quickly stood meeting the young man's unspoken challenge. In amusement, Nick stared back, refusing to blink or to be intimidated. A few tense seconds passed. The younger man then extended his hand to Nick. "You know, for a White guy, you're aiight." The young man said, as he and Nick exchanged the urban handshake. "But, if I was you, I would check Jason's ass 'cuz he can barely see out of one eye, and his one GOOD eye is a glass one!" He laughed. Nick and other the other men howled, as the young man quickly ran for the door before Jason could respond. "Your mama!" Jason retorted as the young man ran out into the street and the door slammed behind him. The men laughed again. As Nick sat down, the other men went back to their own animated discussions about politics, sports and "the finest women on the planet." "These youngsters ain't got no damn manners or respect these days." Jason grumbled. "Man, did you EVER get around to telling me what 'the usual' is?" "The 'usual' is a little off the top and a bit off the sides." Nick said, trying hard to suppress his laughter. "Yeah. Thanks for reminding me. Now, about the beard—" "I swear, you and my mother—the beard stays." Nick stubbornly insisted. "Look if you're gonna keep the beard, at least let me trim it so you're not walking around looking like a Sasquatch or something." "Forget it!" Nick snapped. "Hey, its whatever. We're like Burger King—dedicated to making sure you have it your way." Jason said coolly. "But, keep in mind that that's probably why your ass is by yourself now— scaring all the ladies off." "You have definitely been talking to my mother!" Nick laughed. "Oh, and let me correct a misconception of yours. I have NO problem with the ladies." "Um hmm ... let YOU tell it! Well, you know, the beard ain't that bad. I can work with this so you'll at least look a little more civilized." "Fine, you can trim it or whatever—just so long as this beard is still on my face when I walk out of here." Nick said as he lay his head against the headrest and closed his eyes. Jason shook his head and laughed as he placed a heated towel over Nick's face. He didn't know which was funnier—Nick's touchiness about his beard, or the way conversation amongst the brothers always ceased whenever Nick—one of his few Caucasian customers—sauntered into his barbershop like a regular. Some of the men acted as if their "territory" had been invaded. As a result, Nick was usually scoped out, scrutinized and regarded with suspicion. The silence and scrutiny typically lasted no more than 20 seconds, but it always amused Jason nonetheless. _______________

Brooke kept her eyes closed and her grin turned into a smile. She could not help but be tickled at the thought of playing matchmaker between her sister and Captain Payne. When Katie asked her why she was not interested in Nick herself—especially if he was all that—Brooke had to be honest with herself. In addition to the devastating events of yesterday, she had been demoralized by the stigma of giving birth to a child fathered by her son-in-law and having to constantly answer for it. How could she knowingly open herself up to a repeat of the humiliation she endured when Ridge found out about Hope's paternity? How could she risk having Nick Payne or any other man look at her in disgust and repugnance?
Behind her closed eyelids, Brooke felt her eyes water as she remembered that fateful night. It was a night that started out with so much promise. It was a night of new beginnings, as Ridge had committed himself to her and had given her a "commitment ring." And, Deacon, like a wily serpent, invaded their Garden of Eden and ruined everything.
Don't go back! Don't look back! Keep on walking forward; don't look back!
Brooke's inner voice repeatedly implored her from dwelling on memories that were still too painful to fully process. But, like the child, who is frequently warned not to touch a hot stove lest she get burned, Brooke ignored those entreaties and climbed aboard a night train to the past. She stifled a sob, as she remembered how Deacon relished spinning their history as lovers, as well as her own relationship with Ridge. Oh, how he relished it!

I thought that Macy's return "from the dead" had more holes than Swiss cheese. How is it possible that no one wondered about the remains that were actually buried in her grave? How is it that no one--including her--expressed any concern, regret or remorse about the unfortunate events of that day? The claims that "Brooke killed Macy" were an outright lie in the first place; yet, Macy wasn't held accountable for anything whatsoever. There was no investigation or follow-up by the police either. I'm glad you're getting a kick out of Nick being *tricked* into accompanying his mother to high tea! Can you imagine? I miss the real Captain Nick Payne terribly and it's a pleasure to try to resurrect him here! Thanks for reading!

Brooke sighed deeply as the doors of her subconscious opened, and she was assailed with bitter memories. BROOKE'S FLASHBACK "Tell him, Brooke! Go on! Tell him! You tell him who Hope's daddy is!" Deacon insisted. It was a moment when time literally stood still. It was a moment where no words would have sufficed. After all, what could she possibly say? Ridge glared at Brooke. He waited for her to deny Deacon's scurrilous claims. She had been accused of many things, but this was crazy! However, Brooke's look of horror was the only answer he received. And, yet, he recklessly plunged ahead anyway, determined to spare himself from hearing the truth and to spare Brooke the indignity of responding. Instead, Ridge unleashed his fury on Deacon. "Hope's daddy? You're drunk!" Ridge snarled. "Oh, I bet right about now, you're wishing to HELL I was!" Deacon spat with a smirk and devilish gleam in his eye. "Just get out! Now!" Brooke sobbed frantically, wishing that the ground would open and just swallow her up. Deacon fixed his face in sympathetic lines. "Brooke! Brooke, I'm sorry! I—I know I promised. But I can't just stand here and watch you fall into the same trap, not when I love you so much!" He vowed with mock sympathy, deliberately taunting and baiting her. Brooke was hardly amused. With all the strength she could muster, she slapped Deacon's face hard. "You sick bastard!" She yelled. How dare he stand there and act as if this was some kind of joke? This was her life, not some sick game! However, Deacon continued undaunted. "Brooke, I am so sorry! I tried; you know I did, but I cannot stand by and watch you just fall into the same trap!" "The same trap? That'd be me?" Ridge asked contemptuously. "Oh, come on, man!" Deacon scoffed. "You're using her just like you have a million times before. But you know what the amazing thing is? I bet you don't even know it!" "But you--you're in love. Aren't you? With your ex-wife's mother! That's what you said. You're unbelievable, Deacon." Ridge said with disgust. "You're getting more twisted everyday. I don't know whether to call the cops or the guys in white coats." Ridge quipped. "Deacon, just get out of here!" Brooke demanded. "Don't worry, Brooke. He can't hurt you," Ridge reassured her. "Hurt?! I'm—I 'm trying to HELP you!" Deacon maintained. "NO! You want revenge!" Brooke said. "No!" Deacon shook his head in denial. "Yes, you do. You're trying to punish me!" "Brooke listen to me—" Deacon started. However, Brooke cut him off. "You blame me!" "Brooke, listen to me, please! No, I don't! You couldn't be further from the truth." "Look. If you care so much, why don't you walk out that door and never come back? And leave me the hell alone!" Brooke screamed. Now, it was Deacon's turn to look at her as if she was the one who had been drinking. "So, what? This is your idea of love? No wonder you think he's so hung up on you! Listen to me! He has left you before. And he's gonna do it again— tonight!" Deacon insisted. "Deacon, please stop this. I'm begging you." Brooke desperately pleaded. "Don't give him the satisfaction, Brooke. He'll be out of our hair soon enough," Ridge said. He was sick of Deacon Sharpe and it was past time for him to put the trash out. He picked up the telephone and dialed. "Lieutenant Baker, please," Ridge said with supreme confidence. The hell?! Deacon could not believe it! He looked at Brooke as if she had lost her mind. Oh, so it was like that now? Now, she was just taking the sh*t too far. He verbally pummeled Brooke, appealing to her to do the "right" thing. "Oh, great. Is this how you want it to go down? In front of the cops? In HIS house? With HIS kids here? Brooke, do something! Tell him. Go! Tell him!" "Now you want Brooke to keep you out of jail? That's very funny." Ridge smirked. However, whatever confidence he had in his ladylove was destroyed by three words: "Ridge, hang up." Brooke said dully. "What? What are you doing?" A dumbfounded Ridge managed to croak. Brooke began to sob. "Just—hang up!" She cried. She took the receiver out of Ridge's hand and numbly hung up the phone. "Logan, what're you doing?" Ridge asked. It was all Deacon could do not to laugh out loud. "I think your little ' Logan' has something to tell you. Don't you?" He sneered. "How could you do this to me?" Brooke piteously asked. "Brooke, I'm doing this FOR you." Deacon insisted. "What the hell is going on?" An angry Ridge demanded, feeling like a spectator watching a play enacted by two powerful actors—a play in which he had only a supporting role. "Go ahead." Deacon ordered. Brooke sobbed as if her heart would break. "Ridge, this doesn't have anything to do with you and me!" She wept. "What doesn't?" Ridge asked. "It was just a mistake—a horrible mistake I made a long time ago—" "Great! This is—this is great. I can see where this is going already!" A furious Deacon shouted. "Will you just SHUT UP!" Brooke sobbed. Deacon figured he knew what she was doing, and he was not having it. "You're gonna put your own little spin on it!" "SHUT UP!" Brooke yelled. "No! No! This is your big chance, Brooke! Prove me wrong! Let's see me how much Ridge loves you—REALLY accepts you for who you really are." Deacon challenged her. Brooke appealed to Ridge, hoping against hope that he would understand. "This is not about who I am right now! I've changed. I'm different! I've learned and I have grown from that! You know, Ridge. You told me. You saw it." Brooke tried to convince him. However, Ridge's mind stubbornly refused to accept what was in front of him. "Alright. Let's—just tell me what the hell this is all about. Okay? And what it has to do with this guy." He demanded, gesturing toward Deacon. Deacon, however, could not resist twisting the knife into Ridge's back. "Okay, let me—um—I'm gonna try and break this down for you." He said simply. " You break it down for me." Ridge remarked, looking at Deacon as if he were beneath contempt. " This guy?" Deacon asked, pointing to himself. "Well, this guy is actually the 'mistake.'" Deacon paused briefly before continuing. "Brooke and I were lovers!" He dramatically announced. A stunned Ridge could only stare. But, even then, he needed assurance that what he heard was untrue. "You're lying!" He growled. "Ridge, this has nothing to do with us." Brooke vainly tried to give Ridge the assurance he was seeking. However, reality for Ridge slowly started to set in. " You and Deacon?" He asked, stunned disbelief etched across his handsome face. "Kind of blows your mind, doesn't it?" Deacon smugly asked. _______________

BACK TO THE PRESENT: "Of course, I'm your son," Thorne replied, shocked that there was ever any doubt. "Ridge may have inherited your talent, cheekbones and charm with the ladies, but I would like to think that I have some of your more sterling qualities!" Thorne smiled, attempting to lighten his father's morose mood. However, his attempt at levity failed miserably. Eric groaned miserably. "My son ... " He mumbled. "Dad, what happened here?" Thorne asked again. "And Mother—" "Your mother!" Eric spat dispassionately. Thorne struggled to contain his growing irritation, as he and Eric seemed to be going around in circles. He knew no more now than he knew before. Obviously, his father had received some kind of shock. It was also apparent that in addition to that mysterious wooden chest, any mention of his mother was a stressor. The question was why? Even the usually cheerful Helen became evasive when he attempted to get information from her. Instead of responding to his queries, she threw up her hands, muttered in Spanish, gave the sign of the cross and disappeared into the kitchen. Instead of focusing on those things that were causing his father such distress, Thorne turned to more practical matters. "Dad, why don't you go and get cleaned up while I take straighten up this room. By the way, have you eaten?" "No—not hungry." Eric shook his head. "Just coffee." "You really should get some solid food in your stomach," Thorne argued. "Maybe after you've eaten something, we can talk. I'm anxious to get down to the truth." Thorne said firmly. Normally, he was not so authoritative with his father, but he had to break through the fog Eric was in. Thorne got his wish, as Eric's eyes widened and he became more animated. "Truth?" He asked grimly. "Yes—the truth. I want to tell you the truth— all of it. Every last sordid, ugly detail!" He babbled incoherently. "That's why I wanted to see you before your sisters arrived. I need to talk to you—alone." "You asked Kristen and Bridget to come over, too?" Thorne frowned. At the mention of Bridget's name, Eric shrank back in disgust. "No! NOT BRIDGET!" He yelled vigorously shaking his head. Seeing Thorne's look of surprise, Eric hastily changed his tone. "No—I meant Felicia." Eric explained. Now, Thorne was even more shocked. " Felicia? She's actually in town?" He managed to croak. His heart began to fill with dread. If his little sister was back in town, then something big was definitely about to go down. "Yes, she's here. And, thank God. Thank God!" Eric practically sobbed. "Dad ... you're starting to scare me. WHERE is Mother?" Thorne asked, his eyes narrowing suspiciously. Rather than answer Thorne, Eric tightly embraced him, holding his son's body close and kissing him on the cheek—something Eric had not done since Thorne was a child. Thorne returned his father's embrace, overwhelmed by a rush of emotions. The two men slowly let each other go, and Eric closely examined Thorne's face as if seeing it for the first time. He had to see if there were any signs that pointed to the possibility that Thorne might not be his. Was there any resemblance to him at all? Had Stephanie fooled him about Thorne's paternity also? There was so much he needed to share with Thorne, but he had so little time, as the girls would be there soon. Smiling grimly, Eric said, "Son, you're right. There are some things I need to discuss with you—your future—so many things." _______________

"Hmmm ... well, look who's making the threats now." Massimo coolly observed. "Not threats—just a promise. You mess with my kids, I'll come at you so hard that you won't see anything again— ever." "My! Such a temper! And, the violence!" Massimo said mockingly, pretending to be afraid as he shuddered in an exaggerated manner. "Trust me. You haven't seen anything yet." Deacon warned. "Listen, boy. I don’t take too kindly to threats. I'm a busy man and have no more time to waste on your rather clumsy attempts at intimidation. Frankly, they bore me. I'd much rather concentrate on something much more productive such as the real reason you're here." Massimo suggested. "Yeah—damn right. Let's talk money." Deacon said. __________ Catherine blushed and became extremely uncomfortable under Stephanie's intense scrutiny. Thomas offered a welcome reprieve as he bound into the kitchen. "Hey, Grandma," the boy called, not in the least bit surprised by Stephanie's appearance. "Hello, sweetheart," Stephanie cooed to her favorite grandchild as she kissed his cheek. Thomas then walked over to the granite countertop and reached for a ceramic cookie jar. Catherine moved quickly and snatched the cookie jar out of Thomas' reach. "Thomas, your father told me that you were not to leave your room today. Nor, are you to have any treats." Catherine reminded the boy. Thomas scowled darkly. He was tempted to sass Catherine, but thought the better of it. However, his grandmother came to his rescue. "Uh oh! Sounds like someone's on punishment." Stephanie smiled indulgently. Whatever Thomas' alleged offense was, surely it couldn't have been that bad, as her grandchildren were typically well behaved."Yeah," Thomas mumbled. Stephanie hugged Thomas and gave him her signature, "tell Nana all about it," look. "Okay, Mister. What did you do?" She asked him. "Dad's mad because I teased the twins when they started crying and bawling." Thomas grumbled. "Now, you know you're a big boy—certainly too big to be teasing your sisters. Why would you do such a thing?" "They were getting on my nerves—crying just because Dad didn't marry 'Bwooke' yesterday." Thomas complained. "They want Brooke to be our new mom, but I DON'T." Thomas emphatically stated. "And just because I wanted Steffy and Phoebe to stop their bawling about Brooke, I got punished." "I see." Stephanie frowned. Unbelievable! She should have known that woman had something to do with this. The poor child was being punished just because he didn't want a tramp replacing his mother! What in the world was Ridge thinking? He was definitely going to get an earful from her about this mess when she got him alone."Grandma, was I wrong for not wanting the girls to cry about Brooke and Hope not coming to live with us?" "Oh, no, honey." Stephanie responded sympathetically. "And, am I bad just because I DON'T want Brooke to marry Dad and live here?" He asked. Having often eavesdropped whenever his mother and grandmother thought he was well out of earshot as they discussed their dislike for Brooke over tea, Thomas' impressions had been formed early. His impressions had been further cemented by the spectacle his Grandpa Jack made of himself at his mother's funeral. Unbeknownst to Jack, Thomas had been lurking nearby and had overheard his grandfather's scathing tirade against Brooke, accusing her of disrespecting Taylor by even daring to show up at the funeral. Jack then accused Brooke of "draping herself all over the widower" and demanded that she leave the funeral. That some of the other mourners happened to agree with Jack was not lost on Thomas either. When Thomas verbalized his dislike for Brooke, like E.F. Hutton, he knew his grandmother would listen. Stephanie listened in consternation to her grandson's concerns and decided to put his poor tortured mind at ease. "Why, no, sweetie, you are NOT bad for that, and don't you let anyone tell you otherwise," she explained to a smug Thomas. "Nor do I feel you should be punished. Children should always be free to express—" " Thomas!" Catherine curtly interrupted Stephanie's rant. "I'm sure your grandmother is tired, and will need some help with her bag. Why don't you take her bag upstairs to the guestroom she stayed in last night?" She suggested. Thomas sighed. "Oh, alright," he moaned. "Thank you, sweetheart." Stephanie said, as she kissed the crown of Thomas head as he left the kitchen. Catherine did not bother to hide her annoyance. She was shocked and appalled by what just took place. How dare Ridge's mother egg that child on like that? She fully intended to discuss the matter with Ridge the moment he returned home. If his mother was going to, indeed, be staying here for the next few days—a prospect she was looking less and less forward to—then Ridge needed to put his foot down as to WHO'S rules his children were going to follow. Stephanie sensed she had overstepped her bounds and attempted to cover. The last thing she wanted was to be ordered by Ridge to leave, particularly before she accomplished what she needed to. "Well, I'm going upstairs to shower and change, and when I'm done, I think you and I should have a little chat." Stephanie said firmly. Catherine regarded her suspiciously. "Excuse me? A chat?" She asked. "Yes, Catherine—a chat. Something is not quite right here. I want to know everything that's been going on in this house ever since Taylor died—and, I mean everything." _______________

"Of course. Have a seat, Deacon, and we'll get this rather distasteful matter of money concluded." Massimo responded, suddenly becoming amenable. Deacon plopped himself down in the chair opposite Massimo's desk. The possibility of financial remuneration had cooled his temper considerably. "You owe me for services rendered." Deacon groused. "Yes— that." Massimo smirked as he stretched backward in his chair. "Well, that IS a problem. Of course, I'll pay for services rendered—particularly if a job is well done. As a businessman, however, I don't believe in paying for something I didn't get. I'm sure you can appreciate my position." "Hey! What the hell kind of trick is this?" Deacon flared. "It's no trick. Just a sound business principle. I simply don't believe in rewarding failure." "Look, it's not my fault that Ridge and Brooke are still together!" Deacon argued. "I thought that after my little revelation, he would have been done with her—especially after the vivid picture I painted for him. I guess I seriously underestimated that soul mate thing they have going. Or, maybe Pretty Boy Floyd is more whipped by the 'golden groin' than I realized." Deacon said nastily. Massimo roared with laughter at Deacon's bawdy and crude speech. "As whipped as YOU were maybe?" Massimo sarcastically asked. "The 'golden groin,' indeed! Oh, nice!" Massimo chortled. Deacon realized much too late that he had once again allowed his temper and his mouth to get ahead of his brain. He silently swore under his breath. He hadn't meant to characterize Brooke like that but, she really pissed him off, blowing him off as some kind of mistake she wished she had never made!"Look, you know how these things work out. I mean, who knew there would even be a wedding and that they would be on their honeymoon as we speak?" Deacon asked. "Yes ... who knew?" Massimo hid a small smile and shrewdly kept his counsel. So, the scum had no idea that the wedding had been called off? Not only that, he actually cared about his brats—almost like pets. Massimo thought in wonderment. Smirking, he decided to take advantage of Deacon's ignorance. "Yes, it's supposed to be quite a honeymoon." Massimo said slowly. "They're going to Carmel, and Ridge tells me that Eric gifted him and Brooke with a trip to Greece. Surely, Ridge will have little cause for complaint. After all, I understand that Brooke is quite the tigress in bed. But, then, too, that IS how you two managed to conceive your child." Massimo chuckled richly, as Deacon fumed. Massimo stood and walked to the large window. He deliberately turned his back on Deacon and folded his arms. "Funny," he said, thoughtfully. "A real woman would NEVER deprive her child of her father and use other men as stand-ins. It's amazing the havoc that woman's obsession with Ridge has wrecked on her children's lives. You know, she did the same thing to Rick and Bridget—insisting that Ridge raise those children as his own, while shutting Eric out of their lives." "Well, I was the one who walked out of Hope's life." Deacon said, not at all liking the way this conversation was going. This was supposed to be about his money—not about Hope."Yes, you walked out—but at BROOKE'S insistence." Massimo turned toward Deacon. "You shouldn't have to tolerate something like that. It's bad enough that your son is being raised by Rick and that money-grubbing vagrant he's married to, but this ... well, it's more than any man should tolerate—all just because Brooke has a problem with you." "Look—what's your point?" Deacon demanded. Massimo walked back to his desk and sat down. He regarded Deacon briefly and took his time before responding. He could see that he had struck a nerve. However, he would tread carefully, as the street-smart Deacon was no doe-eyed girl, whom he could easily manipulate. "My point, Deacon, is this. I'm not about to reward you for failing me. However, if you want, I CAN make sure that you get the visitation and custody rights that you are entitled to. It will only be a matter of time before Brooke cheats on Ridge—possibly with you or some other lowlife. As for that trash that's married to her son, I understand that you were quite hot for her at one time, and that the feeling was mutual. I'm positive that the large purse young Rick comes with won't be enough to keep Amber from getting antsy especially if she sensed that you were still interested." _______________

"Girl, I just don't believe it!" A shocked Felicia gasped. "We saw the whole thing, and none of us STILL believe it." Kristen said. "What do you think happened?" "I honestly don't know, but I have my suspicions. The night before at the engagement party at Massimo's penthouse, something happened that caused Brooke to run out the door screaming into the night. She looked physically ill and yelled at Ridge not to touch her." "Incredible! How did Ridge take it—I mean when Brooke left him at the altar?" "He was shocked just like the rest of us. Brooke ran upstairs to one of the bedrooms and locked herself in, and Ridge went after her." "You know, Kris, for once I think you're right. I think I should have come home. I would have paid money to see this!" Felicia laughed. "Stop laughing." Kristen mildly rebuked her. "It's not funny. Ridge was devastated. And, poor Brooke looked as if she was carrying a burden so overwhelming that it finally crushed her. She's wanted to be Ridge's wife for so long, and something pretty devastating must have happened for her to just call it off like that." "Oh, come on! Of course, I'm not so insensitive that I'm making fun of Ridge and Brooke. But, the whole thing is pretty funny in a bizarre kind of way. I mean, it's like one of those Alfred Hitchcock stories. Just when you thought you knew how the story would end, there was always some ironic twist that left you not only surprised, but laughing at the same time." "Well, no one sure was laughing yesterday. Come to think of it, not even Mother thought it was funny." Kristen said reflectively. "Hmmmm ... with all the craziness yesterday, everybody acted just as I expected them to—all except one person." "Who? Who?" Felicia asked with avid interest. "Bridget." _______________

Awesome! I want MORE! And what about Spacey Macy and her self-serving whining?
And Deacon and Massimo are sooo crude! Talk about a couple of scumbags. I have a saying, REAL men don't need to boast about their sex lives in ugly, graphic detail the way these two losers are doing. Methinks that Massimo, despite his ability to father children so freely, has some REAL sexual problems.
The two whores are playing each other, and I am dying to see which leg-over merchant wins.

Leg-over merchant? LOL! I've never heard of that expression before! ITA with you about Massimo and Deacon. They're brothers under the skin and shows that riff-raff comes in ALL packages. They are a nasty pair; however, I do think that Deacon genuinely cares about his children unlike Massimo who sees Ridge as more of a trophy that he "won" from Eric. Deacon's love for his children may be his one saving grace, but it may also end up being his biggest weakness. And how like Massimo to sic Deacon on Amber also. Like, what did she ever do to him? Oh, and don't worry about Macy. I've got some "special plans" for her!

After all, look at what he did to his little princess, Twit.

so Macy is still alive in the story? I forget when she died... Oh, yes! Macy is alive and well in this story. I believe she supposedly died sometime in 2001. When the show brought her back, she was welcomed back as some kind of heroine who had to "escape" because the mob was supposedly after her, Adam and Kimborely. Yet, no one asked about the poor woman who actually died. Nor was Macy made to face any consequences for her actions. All she did was restart her ridiculous feud with Brooke and ridiculously blamed Brooke because she had to have a hysterectomy. Of course, she was back on her feet within a day or two! In this story, I suspect that a hysterectomy will be the least of Macy's problems.
