Check out some new fan fiction by Janice: "This story is about Hope, Allie, R.J. and Jack. Hope and Allie are 18, R.J. is 15 and Jack is 9. The older characters will be in here and there will be some back stories to explain things, but the focus is on this group. I thought a new story might be fun. (I haven't given up on SWIB or Never, but I've hit a block with them and wanted to try something new.) Let me know what you think and if I should continue. Thanks." brookeloganfanfiction.yuku.com/topic/276/The-Future-Belongs-To-Us

'The Future Belongs to Us - Background' by Janice is posted. "Here's the next installment. This is background on what's been happening to everyone. I plan to alternate sections - the current lives of the four kids, a background "catch-up", etc. Hope you find it at least mildly interesting." brookeloganfanfiction.yuku.com/topic/277

I like this story except for a few things....
First I hate that Hope is considered a Horrorster, considering Nick has been more of a father to her than Ridge ever has.
Also, as much as I hate Ridge and dislike Taylor, I find it hard to believe that they would just turn their backs on their son when he is in the state he is in. Especially Taylor, she is a psychiatrist.
I also like that Bitchette is not shown as some junior saint in training.

As the story progresses, we will see that Hope and R.J. always turn to Nick and not Ridge. Hope considered changing her name when Brooke and Nick married, but didn't because of how close she is to R.J. (who sadly in this story does remain Ridge's). Taylor and Ridge are not major parts of this story, but they have been living in Italy for some time and were not here when Tom had his breakdown. As is the case with some fathers, Ridge refuses to believe his son could be that "weak". Therefore, there is no need to come home and see him, because to Ridge there is no real problem. Taylor's issue is her own insecurity as a doctor. She is concerned for her son, but is terrified that the doctors at the clinic would hold her responsible for his condition. So, she is doing just as she did for years in ignoring Ridge chasing after Brooke and putting her head squarely in the ground. I have thought for some time that Bridget would be far more interesting as evil, rather than the pathetic sniveling whiner. So, in my story she is hard, tough, and cruel. Thanks again for reading.
