Philippe peered at his wife, becoming increasingly concerned about her state of hysteria. She was obviously having an anxiety attack and he attempted to calm her down. " Ma chẻre, you must get a hold of yourself!" Philippe admonished. "Perhaps you ate something that disagreed with you." "Darling," Elke said, fanning herself dramatically. "I do not know what has come over me! It was as if . . . as if the room were spinning!" Cecile made a sympathetic noise and fussed about Elke, removing the shoes from her feet and doing virtually everything she could to make Elke comfortable. "Madame, shall I get you something to drink?" Cecile asked. "Yes . . . yes! Some water perhaps," Elke sighed. Philippe, however, had another idea. " Non! You need something stronger!" He briefly left the parlor. While he was gone, Elke managed to regain some of her composure. She loved the fuss that her husband made over her. In a perverse way, she was thrilled because Philippe would be distracted from thinking about that bitch, Stephanie. Philippe returned to the parlor with a crystal decanter half-filled with an amber-colored liquid and a glass. When she saw her husband, Elke moaned in a melodramatic manner. "Yes, my love!" Elke entreated. " Do hurry! I feel faint!" Elke pretended to swoon, dramatically falling back against the arm of the sofa, and placing her hand over her eyes. She slyly peered between her fingers to see how Philippe was affected by her performance. Philippe for his part, methodically removed the stopper from the decanter and reverently poured the liquid into the glass. He then walked over to the sofa where his wife reclined, and sat at her side. "You see—lovely one! I have something that should make you feel so much better!" "What—what is that?" Elke asked in nervous trepidation. "Why, it is my Armagnac of course!" Elke suddenly sat up. "Drink up, ma chẻre," Philippe said. Elke's eyes widened in horror as her husband handed the glass to her. _______________

Dr. Sussman had an impromptu meeting with Detectives Moretti and Blair in his office. He systematically explained the nature of Stephanie's injuries. As he showed the detectives her X-rays, he went on to explain his findings. The detectives paid rapt attention to the X-rays and took notes accordingly. "You see, here," Dr. Sussman said, pointing to an X-ray of Stephanie's spine. "This is where the bullet is lodged." "Will you be able to remove it?" Detective Moretti asked. "It's really too soon to tell. Dr. Ross Cannaday will be in a better position to explain the nature of this spinal injury and to give you a prognosis better than I could. He is the premier expert on this type of injury, and will be here later this evening or tomorrow morning." "And, what about the X-ray of Mrs. Forrester's skull?" Detective Blair asked. "If you look here, you can see a hairline fracture. As I explained to Mrs. Forrester's family, she evidently hit her head on a sharp object during a fall, or she was struck with a blunt object." "Doctor," Detective Moretti stated. "What were the results of the toxicology reports?" "Well, our preliminary reports indicate nothing out of the ordinary. We have a middle-aged woman, who appeared to be taking prescribed estrogen supplements, as well as calcium supplements. According to her history, Mrs. Forrester was taking a mild medication called maxide for high blood pressure. It's not as strong as a beta-blocker. It's more like a water pill that flushes excess sodium and potassium from the body. There was some alcohol in her blood, but it appears to be consistent with someone, who had one or two glasses of wine. The contents of her stomach were full and only partially digested. So, it appears Mrs. Forrester had only eaten dinner just a few hours before the shooting. Other than that, there were no traces of illicit or other controlled substances in her blood or urine." "Thank you, Dr. Sussman," Detective Moretti responded. "Dr. Sussman, how soon can we get Mrs. Forrester's medical records?" Detective Blair asked. "Fairly soon. I know that you are investigating her assault so we will provide them as quickly as possible. However, I do have something you can take with you now." Dr. Sussman handed a bag to Detective Blair. "This is the garment that Mrs. Forrester was wearing when she was assaulted." Detective Blair looked in the bag and pulled out the bloodstained Burberry's raincoat that had been carefully wrapped in protective plastic. This would also be sent to the crime lab for DNA testing. The blood spatters would also be examined for points of entry and patterns. As Detective Blair turned the bag over, a look of confusion came across her face. "I don't understand," she said. "Is this all?" Dr. Sussman was clearly embarrassed and cleared his throat before speaking. "I'm sorry, Detective Blair, but I thought you and your partner knew." "Knew what?" Detective Moretti asked. "The emergency medical technicians, who brought Mrs. Forrester to the hospital, were quite startled to discover this. Of course, their top priority was getting her here to the hospital and saving her in route." Both detectives had become impatient. "Exactly what is it?" Detective Moretti asked in annoyance. "Oh dear! Well, they both noticed that when they started to work on Mrs. Forrester in the ambulance—well, when they removed her raincoat, they were stunned to discover that she was wearing absolutely nothing underneath." "What?" Detective Blair exclaimed. "Are you saying that she had on a raincoat and nothing else?!" "Yes," Dr. Sussman responded. "That is exactly what I'm saying. Of course, I mentioned none of this to her husband." "Of course," Detective Moretti said slowly. _______________

OMG! So Hag gets attacked when she is on the way to a tryst with her married lover?
And Macy is a real bitch. She whines about Brooke only thinking of herself, but she is ten times worse than Brooke could ever hope to be. At least Brooke was able to come through for the old bitch and call the paramedics, which Macy couldn't do. She is so nasty that if she had come across Brooke in a state like that, she would have walked away. Plus she is using Hag's tragedy as an excuse to start her crap with Brooke.

WHAT A STORY, MissJr!!! I just got done reading chapters 2 and 3, and I must say that you have the Forresters pegged "to a tee"!!!
One question...did that board meeting actually transpire after the Venice debacle? (I can't remember.) Or did you make it all up? If so, you did a MASTERFUL JOB of portraying everyone true to form!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D
THIS scene was SO touching (and so like our Brooke)... And THIS is CLASSIC Brooke (which I am sorry to say I could NEVER see at that time)... THESE comments are right on... And GO RICK!!! I can actually hear Winsor Harmon and Bobbie Eakes saying each and everyone of those statements...
And typical Ridge thinking that it's all about him and that HE should be his Mother's first visitor!!! Excuse me Ridge, but shouldn't Stephanie's HUSBAND have had that position...
And what a HUGE surprise THIS was...I guess Stephanie wants to be more like Brooke than we ever knew/she will ever admit to...I would have NEVER guessed this one in a million years... HOW FUNNY that Stephanie was wearing only a RAIN COAT while also carrying "rain coats" in her purse!!!
AND I found this one jaw dropping...LOL: BRAVA!!! MISSJR
Is the FIRST part of La Femme Fatale (pre-Venice) available?

That Stephanie is full of surprises, ins't she? I wanted to create a more well-rounded portrait of Stephanie rather than the one-dimensional carcicature of evil we've seen in recent years. Looking at some of my earlier episodes of B&B, it's easy to see why Susan Flannery was so popular as Stephanie. Obviously, she was obsessed with Ridge but Stephanie also showed she had the capacity to be a caring and compassionate mother to Thorne, particularly at a time when she feared Caroline would break his heart. Shocking, isn't it? She even stopped browbeating Kristen long enough to try to be understanding about her and Clarke. Susan Flannery was--and still is--such a gorgeous woman and it's disappointing that the writers refused to allow Stephanie to be more feminine or as close to what Bill Bell originally conceived. Even when Stephanie had on pantsuits or slacks in the early years, she still managed to look quite feminine. Even though Clarke was a cheap gigolo back then, now that I've had a chance to rewatch my tapes, I can't decide now whether he was in it for the money or was truly attracted to Stephanie. If he was, it was easy to see why. Stephanie in this story is proof of the old saying about still waters running deep. Macy is a hot mess! Somehow, she managed to make Stephanie's assault all about her and Thorne's marriage. She still can't accept the real reason why Thorne married her so she looks for things to accuse Thorne and Brooke of even when they aren't necessarily doing anything wrong. It's easier for her to operate as if Brooke is this destructive, sex-starved tramp who seduced Thorne instead of a woman that Thorne was actually serious about marrying.

Thank you, Miette! In answer to your question, the emergency board meeting is a figment of my own imagination. I took some literary license with it based on what was happening on the show at that time, as well as how volatile things were between Brooke, Eric and Ridge, Taylor and Stephanie. I knew that Thorne could have never brought himself to vote against Brooke no matter what. Even though he was "committed" to Macy, he was still in love with Brooke at the time. Also, there isn't a pre-Venice work available. I picked up after Venice at the time because I wasn't satisfied with the way the show handled it especially after Bradley's promises in SID that Ridge, Taylor and Brooke would be dealing with the fallout for some time. I'm glad you enjoyed the chapters and see everyone's actions and dialogue true to form. Also, I wanted to show Taylor and Ridge behaving the way married people actually do behind closed doors. And, you're right that Ridge should have allowed his father to go in first. However, in fairness to Ridge, his father was occupied with the police. And yes, that Stephanie is full of suprises. Unfortunately for her family, there will be more surprises to come. Thanks for reading, as well as your comments!

CHAPTER 4 – "REVENGE"Ridge was on the verge of dressing-down a red-faced Rick, when he saw his father from a distance. "Hey, here comes, Dad!" Ridge said. All heads turned toward the corridor leading into the waiting area. As if he were moving in slow motion, Eric strode purposely toward the ICU waiting room. Eric focused his attention solely on Brooke. Brooke, who had her arm around Bridget, regarded Eric with curiosity and immediately felt uncomfortable under his piercing stare. Bridget sensed the shift in her mother's heartbeat and noticed her discomfort. She looked at her father's face and thought he looked like an avenging angel. No—more like a demon, she thought. Bridget shuddered, and her mother protectively held her close. Rick was on alert and moved away from Ridge to stand by his mother. Ridge and Thorne looked at each other, thinking that their father's demeanor was strange—even accounting for the stress he was obviously under. Eric continued to walk down the corridor, his footsteps growing louder and louder as he approached the waiting room. He suddenly sped up until he reached the entrance of the waiting room. He then stopped and looked with undying enmity toward the mother of his youngest children. Without warning, he hurried toward her, with his hands outstretched. Brooke gasped and took a step backward. Before anyone else had a chance to react, Eric let out a blood-curdling scream. "MURDERERRRRR!" He shouted at the top of his lungs. He then pounced upon Brooke, with his hands around her neck. _______________

Macy and Taylor sat at a table in the hospital cafeteria sipping strong coffee and nibbling on banana bread. Macy's face was still flushed with anger. While Taylor was initially annoyed, she managed to calm down once the women were seated. "Really, Taylor, I don't know HOW you stood it for so long," Macy commented between sips of coffee. "It just infuriates me the way the men in this family just hang on to her every word, her every gesture, her every breath!" Taylor nodded in agreement. However, she sought to point out some distinguishing differences in her situation and Macy's. "That may be true on some level," Taylor conceded. "But, Ridge no longer does that. In fact, he is totally committed to our family. Frankly, I just never saw him hanging onto her that way. The relationship was purely a sexual one. So, Brooke is nothing but a distant memory—a BAD one." "Oh, please! Ridge is no better than Thorne, Taylor, and you know it! No matter how sexual you claim this relationship was, the fact remains that Ridge married Brooke—TWICE! So evidently he had to have loved her!" Macy snorted. Taylor became hot at this characterization of her husband and his relationship with Brooke. "That's NOT true!" She loudly disputed. "Just hear me out." Macy said, holding up a hand to squelch Taylor's protestations. "Despite what you may believe, Taylor, Ridge will never get Brooke out of his system. You once said yourself that he always tries to play her little 'white knight!' And, you better believe that not only does SHE get off on it, but so does he!" Macy bitterly sniped. Taylor looked at Macy in wide-eyed astonishment. As much as it pained Taylor to admit it, on a certain level, Macy was right. However, Taylor also knew that that dynamic had changed drastically after Venice. Not wanting to risk revealing what happened in Venice, Taylor artfully changed the subject. "Macy, you really need to get a handle on your temper," Taylor advised. "Why do you allow Brooke to get you so riled up?" "I can't help it," Macy responded petulantly. "She's always ALL over Thorne! Yesterday, when I walked into her office, I caught them together." "What do you mean, you caught them together?" Taylor asked curiously. "She was hugging him. She had her head on his chest. In fact, she was running her grubby paws up and down Thorne's back." Taylor looked at Macy and controlled the urge to shake her head in disbelief. She was surprised that Macy was so seemingly oblivious to Thorne's actions. "Macy, let me ask you something. While Brooke was doing all this—uh—ahem—what exactly was Thorne doing?" Taylor carefully asked. Immediately, Macy's defenses went up. "What do you mean what was Thorne doing?" Taylor could see that she was walking across an emotional minefield. "What I mean, Macy, is just what I said. Was Thorne just standing there, or was he holding her, too?" Macy's eyes darkened at the memory of what she saw. "Well . . . I guess." Macy replied noncommittally. In fact, Thorne was doing more than just holding Brooke. He gripped her tightly. It was obvious that he was kissing Brooke's hair while his head was buried in it. However, Macy would rather die than admit it. "You guess?" Taylor asked incredulously. "Okay!" Macy snapped. "Yes! He WAS holding her! Satisfied now? Is that what you wanted to hear?" "Look, Macy—I'm not here to judge. Really, I'm not. But, stop and ask yourself something. Is it possible that Thorne might be giving off mixed signals to make Brooke believe that he is still interested in her?" "Why, Taylor? Is that what Ridge used to do? Give off mixed signals to make Brooke believe he still wanted her?" Macy taunted. "No, Macy, that is NOT what Ridge used to do!" Taylor replied defensively. "Brooke was ALWAYS all over him. She was always plotting and scheming to get him into her bed." "Uh huh—whatever!" Macy said cynically. "I suppose he did all he could to resist her seduction attempts, too, huh?" Macy jeered. "Look, Macy! Making spiteful comments about my husband isn't getting us anywhere! Besides—you didn't answer my question. Is it possible that Thorne is giving Brooke mixed signals?" "Of course not!" Macy said, scowling. "He has made it quite clear to her on numerous occasions that he has made his choice. But, you know how aggressive she is! Plus, she's always playing the helpless female." Taylor laughed shortly and resentfully. "Hah! Brooke Logan is anything but a helpless female! That woman has more lives than a cat, and somehow or another, the men in this family don't see that. Nope! Every time Brooke has a problem or breaks a nail, they go rushing in to rescue her." "Well, at least Eric has finally seen the light. He no longer falls for her act and defends her behavior." "Indeed." Taylor replied, raising an elegantly arched eyebrow. "But, I just wonder if we aren't being a little petty." "Petty? In what respect?" Macy wondered. "Well, Brooke was the one, who found Stephanie and called the authorities. I would hate to even think of the alternative. Our husbands were just expressing their gratitude." Macy looked askance at Taylor and rolled her eyes in disbelief. "Okay—I'm the first one willing to give credit where it is due." Macy allowed. "But, did Ridge and Thorne have to become so emotional about it? You should have SEEN the way Ridge was all over her!" Macy chortled, conveniently ignoring her own husband's behavior. Taylor could not believe Macy's nerve. " Ridge?" She asked incredulously. "Ridge? If anybody was all over Brooke, it was YOUR husband!" Taylor shouted in an attempt to straighten Macy out. However, seeing the look on Macy's face, Taylor immediately attempted to make amends. "I'm sorry, Macy. That was uncalled for. This is a very emotional time for our family, and it's been my experience that tragedies often bring out the worst in people. We behave in ways and say things we would never dream of in normal circumstances. Forgive me?" Taylor asked. "There's nothing to forgive, Taylor. I'm sorry if I seemed a little harsh." Macy gently apologized. "That's okay," Taylor said, as she reached across the table and squeezed Macy's hand in reassurance. "I'm going to get some more coffee. May I get you another cup?" Macy inquired. "Thank you, Macy. I would like that very much." As Macy left their table, Taylor brooded over their discussion. Taylor was disturbed to finally see for herself that what Ridge had been saying for months was probably true. Perhaps they should have left well enough alone. It was evident to Taylor that Thorne and Macy's remarriage was a train wreck that would eventually result in total disaster for both of them. When Taylor was in private practice, she sometimes worried that her advice might cause her patients to make ruinous decisions that could alter the course of their lives. It was one thing to advise her patients on a course of action; however, it was another to be an active participant in manipulating an outcome that was ruinous. "My God—what have I done?" Taylor wondered to herself. However, she again convinced herself that Brooke was the wrong woman for Thorne, and that Stephanie's life was at stake. _______________

Hmmm...interesting. If the writers had half your talent, they would have gone into Macy and Taylor's relationship. I noticed during Venice that there were very few scenes between the two women; in fact, Taylor could have been the family driver for all the interaction Macy had with her.
I almost choked, but Macy made sense. She is right, Ridge DID marry Brooke twice. However, Taylor made sense as well when she asked Macy what Thorne was doing when he and Brooke were in that office. However, both women have major denial issues. According to Taylor, Ridge gave Brooke no encouragement, and Macy is so fixated on Brooke, she cannot see her husband's actions.
Eric was way out of line. I realize that this is a tense situation, but his attacking Brooke was uncalled for. When the bozos found out that Brooke is innocent, they all need to publicly apologize.

Good scene between Taylor and Macy, MissJr. I was rather startled to see hints of a conscience sneaking up on Taylor.
Macy is as horrid as I remember her. The more obvious the truth becomes to her, the nastier she gets and the deeper into denial she goes. It's all Brooke's fault, she "can't leave Thorne alone," when it is THORNE who can't leave BROOKE alone. Thorne didn't remarry Macy because he loved her, he remarried her on the rebound because of the nasty stunt Tridge pulled in Venice. As for ErWeak choking Brooke -- I wonder how he'll feel when he learns his "beloved" wife has been cuckolding him.

The second Brooke shows up, she throws a big, ol' temper tantrum from hell. When she ordered Brooke to leave, I felt like saying, "Hag isn't dead yet, so where the hell do YOU get off, ordering her to leave?"
And Taylor actually seemed like the voice of reason for while there. Too bad she is in such denial.
However, Macy is in denial as well. I remember during the Venice SL and when Ridge told her the truth, her first words were, "Did she seduce you," as if Brooke were the heavy. And it is the same thing now, Thorne has his hands all over Brooke, but it's her fault.

Thank you, Giovanna! I always found it frustrating that the writers never attempted to explore a friendship or any other kind of relationship between Macy and Taylor after Venice. It was as if once the mission was accomplished, Macy and Thorne were left to their own devices while Tridge moved onto a storyline with Morgan. Macy definitely made sense when she reminded Taylor that Ridge married Brooke twice. I never bought into the notion that a man would marry a woman for something (sex) that he could just as easily get somewhere else free. If Ridge did marry Brooke just for sex, then it certainly doesn't say much about him as a man and it begs to question why Taylor wanted him so badly. ITA with you that both of these ladies are in some serious denial about their husbands' respective relationships with Brooke. Yes, Eric is way out of line and being upset or emotionally distraught is no justification for putting his hands on Brooke especially in front of her children.

Yes, Macy's claws do come out especially when she feels she's being attacked or when someone gets a little too close to the truth. Attacking Taylor still won't take away what she overheard between Ridge and Eric the day of the barbeque. I'm also looking forward to Eric learning the truth about the pristine "goddess" he married!

Detectives Moretti and Blair were still reeling from the revelation that Stephanie Forrester was completely nude under her raincoat. The revelation raised numerous questions, and it was more important than ever to them that they interview her. "Dr. Sussman, how soon will we be able to get a statement from Mrs. Forrester?" Detective Moretti asked. "I was afraid you would ask that," Dr. Sussman sighed. "Well, in all honesty, the patient is in no shape to make a statement to anyone. I would prefer that you hold off at least until she has had a chance to speak to a social worker about her condition. She's been through a very traumatic experience, and the news of her possible paralysis and all that it entails will be an absolute shock." "I see," Detective Moretti sardonically responded. "Well, exactly when will be able to talk to Mrs. Forrester?" "I would suggest holding off at least until we can determine when she's strong enough. As I said, Dr. Cannaday will be here no later than tomorrow morning to assess her situation. It will all depend on when and if he decides to operate on her." "Well, we certainly would like to talk to her before he operates on her," Detective Blair stated. "Of course! Of course!" Dr. Sussman reassured them. _______________

Brooke struggled to breathe, as Eric continued to choke her, blocking off her air supply. Bridget screamed, and all three of her brothers struggled to restrain Eric. "MURDERER!" A crazed Eric screamed again, as his hands tightened around Brooke's neck. "What the HELL are you doing?" Thorne demanded as he attempted to pry his father's fingers from around Brooke's neck. Ridge had grabbed his father around his waist and vainly pulled. "Damn it—Dad! Let her go!" Ridge shouted. Rick also attempted to pull Eric off Brooke. Brooke for her part, weakly pummeled Eric's chest. Bridget began to cry, her body racked with sobs. "Stop it! Stop it!" She begged repeatedly. Finally, Brooke sensing Eric's weakening grip, did the only thing she could do. She unexpectedly and forcefully brought her right knee straight up, being sure that it connected with the center of Eric's groin. Just as suddenly as he grabbed her neck, Eric's hands loosened and he doubled over, screaming in intense pain. "ARRRGHHH!" Eric howled, as he jumped around and eventually fell to one knee. Brooke coughed as she regained her breathing. Rick led her and the hysterical Bridget to a tweed couch. Thorne and Ridge both rushed to Brooke and Bridget's side, leaving their father writhing on the floor in agony. _______________

Philippe's black eyes bore into Elke's hazel ones. His lips curled into a wolfish smile as he handed Elke the glass of Armagnac. " Circulez! Se grouiller!" He urged his wife. It was obvious to Elke that her husband intended to stay by her side until she emptied her glass. She had to think of something and fast. As she raised the glass to her trembling lips, her hands shook. "OOPS!" She said, as she allowed the glass to slip through her fingers. The crystal shattered on the hardwood floor, and the liquid splashed on Philippe's shoes, as well as the floor. " Fils de pute!" He swore loudly. "I'm so sorry for my clumsiness," Elke said with false sweetness. She dramatically fluttered her eyelashes and smiled. She pretended not to notice the sudden scowl on her husband's handsome visage. He abruptly stood and called for Cécile. "Attend to Madame Chevalier!" He snapped. " Oui, Monsieur Philippe!" Cécile responded. Elke for her part attempted to reassure her husband that she was fine. "Really—darling! There really is no need to fuss so! I am just fine!" At that moment, Frazier entered the parlor to inform Philippe that his driver was waiting to take him to work. "Please go!" Elke begged. Philippe stared at his wife in irritation. "Madame, I intend to do just that!" He replied curtly. He should have known this was yet another one of her attempts to get attention, he reflected sourly. Elke did not realize that Philippe's sharp eyes noticed that she yelled "OOPS!" before the glass even left her hand. He intended to get to the bottom of her strange behavior during breakfast, as well as this latest ruse of hers. Philippe looked in distaste at his wife. If she chose to quack herself with imaginary illnesses just to get attention, then she was more than welcome to her little dramas. While his wife was merely playing at being a woman, he had a real woman in the hospital probably dying, Philippe thought bitterly. He stiffly bent down and coldly kissed Elke on her cheek. " Au revoir, Madame." He said through clenched teeth. He instructed Cécile to return the decanter with the remaining Armagnac to the library. Philippe then left a bewildered Elke sitting on her Queen Anne couch. _______________

After two grueling hours, Phyllis was finally finished with her photo shoot. She had almost forgotten how taxing modeling could be. She was left alone with Damon, who removed the film from his camera so that he could develop it later. As she dressed, Phyllis became nervous again, as she knew what the next subject would be—money. "Well, Phyllis," Damon said. "I think we've had a fairly productive day, don't you?" "Sure! I can't wait to see the finished product." "Neither can I. You really do photograph well and the camera absolutely loves you." Damon continued. "How soon will I see the photos?" "Well, I'll have the proofs done in a couple of days. You can stop by and pick out the ones you want. I'm assuming this is for a portfolio?" "Correct." Damon was now ready to get down to business. "Now, how will you be paying for today's session?" He asked. "Well—uh—I'm a little short on cash right now. But, I can write you a postdated check." Phyllis smoothly replied. Damon was pissed. He thought that that lazy Sharon had firmed up Phyllis' payment arrangements beforehand! "Look, Missy! I don't work for free you know! Exactly HOW much money do you have with you now?" Damon demanded. "Well, I have about $200 in cash on me right now. Unfortunately, my credit cards are all maxed out," Phyllis lied. Damon laughed. "Two hundred dollars? You must have fallen and bumped your head. Unbelievable; I simply don't believe this! My time is VERY valuable! Two hundred dollars doesn't even begin to cover half of my time. There's also the cost of materials, not to mention my expertise. After all, I am an artist, Phyllis. I really wish I had known this before we started." "I know and I'm sorry!" Phyllis apologized. "Why don't I pay you half now and—" "No! I want all my money now! No money—no photos!" "What do you mean—no money, no photos?" Phyllis hissed angrily. "Just what I said, Missy! You do NOT get your photos until I get paid in full!" "I see," Phyllis snapped. She then decided to turn on the charm. "What if I pay you another way?" She asked furtively. She then sauntered toward Damon and reached for his zipper. "Wh—wh—what in the world do you have in mind?" Damon gulped. "This!" Phyllis said, as she dropped to her knees and unzipped Damon's pants. As revolting as she found Damon, she willed herself to think only of the big picture and the end game. _______________

Their good humor restored with fresh coffee, Macy and Taylor continued their talk, each wondering why it had taken them so long to connect before. However, before returning to the table, Macy decided to test her budding friendship with her sister-in-law. "Taylor, may I ask you a favor?" Macy tentatively asked. "Sure," Taylor answered. "Well—Thorne and I have discussed starting a family, and . . . well . . . you see, I've been on the pill for a while, and my regular OBGYN recently retired. I was wondering if you could suggest another one." Taylor was briefly taken aback. How could two people in such an obviously troubled marriage even begin to discuss having a baby, she wondered. Not wanting to hurt Macy’s feelings, Taylor decided to refer a doctor to Macy anyway. "Well, as a matter of fact, I would suggest my own OBGYN. Her name is Dr. Gina Santana. She's an excellent doctor, very compassionate and she really helped me through both of my pregnancies." "With an endorsement like that, I already feel confident that I'll be in good hands," Macy said. "Oh, you will be! Bear with me a moment while I look for her number," Taylor requested. She pulled out her Palm Pilot and a few seconds later, wrote Dr. Santana's number and address down for Macy. "Thank you," Macy smiled gratefully, as Taylor handed her the piece of paper. "You're very welcome! I hope you can read my writing. She's usually booked solid, but just tell her you're my sister-in-law and she'll squeeze you in." "Thanks again, Taylor," Macy smiled. "I have to tell you, Macy, this is such exciting news! I can't wait to tell Ridge. A baby! You and Thorne will love being parents! I'm sure that Ridge will have lots of brotherly advice!" Taylor enthused. Macy became uncomfortable, and she started to blush. "Well, if you don't mind, I would rather you not say anything to Thorne or Ridge," she said. Taylor immediately noticed Macy's discomfort and decided that something was definitely not quite right. "Macy, if this was something that you and Thorne discussed, why don't you want me to say anything to him?" Taylor asked suspiciously. Macy's palms became wet, and her color deepened, as she wondered how she would get around this one. "Well—uh—you see, Taylor." Macy started. "It's just that we've tried for so long the first time we were married. And, like I said, I have been on the pill for a while. I just don't want to get his hopes up again just in case. That's why I want to see a doctor first to be sure that everything is okay." Macy smoothly fibbed. "I wouldn't go off buying any booties and baby carriages just yet." However, Taylor was still skeptical. "I see," she said slowly. Macy was relieved that Taylor bought her story. She just had to get pregnant. After what happened in the waiting room, Macy was convinced more than ever this would be the best way she and Thorne could rid themselves of Brooke totally. _______________

"I HATE YOU!" Bridget screamed at her father, who was still on the floor, whimpering and holding his testicles. Brooke was too shocked to say anything. Rick regarded Eric with contempt and thought about the moment he actually started to dislike his father as a person. Thorne stayed with Brooke, wanting to be sure that she was okay. Ridge looked in disgust at Eric. He angrily walked over and unceremoniously yanked his father up from the floor. "Get up!" Ridge ordered. Eric's hair was in disarray and he tottered on his feet, struggling to regain his balance. He also complained about the pain in his nether regions. "I don't CARE about your pain!" Ridge screamed, as he grasped his father's arm. "I just want to know what in the hell is wrong with you?" Eric angrily shook Ridge's hand off his arm and turned on him. "There isn't a damn thing wrong with me!" Eric retorted, willing his pain to subside. "You and your brother are defending the very woman that tried to kill your mother!" Ridge was stunned by the accusation. Brooke immediately jumped up, but Thorne grabbed her. "Oh, hell no—you stay here, baby," Thorne told Brooke through gritted teeth. "I got THIS!" He then strode over to his father and proceeded to yell at him. "You must be going batty! You know good and damn well that Brooke didn't try to kill Mother! You better take it back, or I'll—" "Or, you'll WHAT?" Eric spat. He looked first at Ridge and then at Thorne. "Your mother is right!" He spat contemptuously. "That woman has got both of you p*ssy-whipped!" Rick was offended by Eric's comment and lunged for him. Ridge quickly restrained him. "Listen, old man!" Rick yelled. "That's MY mother you're talking about! If there's anybody who's p*ssy-whipped, it's YOU!" Eric grabbed Rick and shook him. "Why, you ill-mannered little whelp! You talk to me about that again, I'll beat you senseless!" He growled. "Take your hands off MY SON!" Brooke screamed at Eric. _______________

Wow...I must say I was rather surprised that ErWeak even had any testicles for Brooke to knee in order to make him let her go -- I thought Fang kept them in a jar on her bedside table. And it's quite amusing that ErWeak's kids ignore him and rush to Brooke's aid.
Macy's plotting to get knocked up, eh? She can only get so much mileage out of her alcoholism to guilt Thorne into staying with her, so she's moving on to Plan B, dumb airheaded skank that she is.
Many posters, including me, have speculated that the reason Fang is so nasty and cruel is because she isn't getting laid. Well, in this story, she is definitely getting laid, but she's not one bit less nasty and cruel.

Not as amusing as it is to see Bridgette cuss Macy out.
And Macy is a loser. It was a real travesty that Sally, when being written correctly, is the ultimate Grand Dame, yet she still managed to produce such a whining, pathetic, drab loser as her spawn. Sally is larger than life, whereas Macy is lower than dirt.
I suppose I could feel sorry for Macy, as the only weapons in her arsenal to hang on to Thorne are her drinking and her ability to get knocked up, as any woman with a working ovary can pull that. But she is such a pathetic, Hag-wannabe that I can't. When she screeched for Brooke to leave, all I could think was, "Ye Gods! Looks like she is taking over Hag's position as the Forrester family guard dog."

She whined and carried on because Sally wasn't there for her, but she had no problem accepting the privileges that Sally worked her behind off for. What was particularly hurtful for Sally was that the only reason Macy bothered to see her at all was because she wanted money. While I can't blame Macy for being hurt that Sally didn't attend her graduation, I found it very telling that she repeatedly called Sally by her first name and had no trouble admitting she wanted more money and expected Sally to keep the gravy train going. One of the show's most ironic moments was when Sally told Stephanie during one of their spats that she wanted Macy to be just like Stephanie--cultured, sophisticated, etc. Seems Sally may have gotten her wish in more ways that one! As for Eric, that little sac of his does manage to make an appearance every once in a blue moon.

Sally Spectra sat in her small office reading that morning's newspaper and was shocked by what she read. Adam shook his head admiringly at his "Red," who was wearing another of her Grand Diva outfits. Only Sally could wear something like the outfit she had on and pull it off, he thought. Today she had on an orange, rust and fuchsia print satin dress, with matching fuchsia pumps. The dress was cut extremely low in the front, and Sally's massive bosom threatened to escape if she breathed too hard. Her red crown of glory was moussed and pouffed—despite the fact such a look had gone out in the 1980's. Her heavy makeup did very little to soften her course features. The whole effect screamed "zaftig madam," but Sally was seemingly oblivious to her brassy hair, loud clothes, mask-like makeup and brazen mannerisms. "Did you hear about this?" Sally asked, looking up from the paper when Adam entered the office and sat across the desk from her. "Hear about what?" "The QUEEN was shot very early this morning and is supposedly near death!" Sally announced dramatically in her booming voice. "What queen are you referring to?" Adam asked. He certainly had heard nothing about Queen Elizabeth II being shot, and he never considered himself a "royal watcher.""Why, Stephanie Forrester!" "Oh—THAT bitch!" Adam snapped. "Not nice, Adam!" Sally scolded. "Hmmmm … it says here that they found a gun at the scene. Oh—and get this! You won't BELIEVE who was there and supposedly called the cops!" "I'm dying and waiting with baited breath for you to tell me," Adam rejoined. He was always puzzled at "Red's" seemingly obsessive interest in the Forresters. The only thing that would interest him would be the news that the whole lot of them drowned after their cruise ship hit an iceberg."Well, the paper says that Brooke Logan was on the scene!" Sally declared. "Big whoopty doo!" Adam said sarcastically. "Hmmmm ... " Sally mused, drumming her manicured fingers on the desk. "I smell a rat!" "Beg your pardon?" "Anytime Brooke Logan is around, there's always trouble! Mark my words! SHE had something to do with this shooting!" "Oh, come on!" Adam said. "Why would she shoot Stephanie Forrester and then call the police?" "Nothing that woman does surprises me," Sally claimed, ignoring Adam's question. She then shocked Adam when she abruptly announced, "We MUST get over to the hospital!" With that, Sally stood and started to gather her purse and other things. "Whoa!" Adam warned, restraining Sally. " We aren't going anywhere near those people! Have you forgotten that it was Stephanie Forrester, who was responsible for our recent humiliation? Besides, she's probably in intensive care, and that's limited to family only." "But we ARE family!" Sally protested. Adam rolled his eyes. "Red—we aren't immediate family! And, don't think for a second that those people would appreciate your concern because they won't!" "Well, we just can't sit here and not do anything," Sally argued. "You're right. We're not just going to sit here and not do anything! For one thing, we have a business to run! Let those Forresters deal with their own crap and bury their own dead!" Adam angrily advised. "Adam!” Sally gasped in shock. “First of all, the queen isn’t dead yet. Second, have you forgotten that our daughter is one of those Forresters?" "I wish I could forget! I thought I would never see the day when a daughter of mine would be making a damned fool of herself over some worthless man! Look, Red, if you want to go to the hospital, maybe we can do so once 'the queen' is in a private room and up to other visitors. But, now is not a good time, particularly with the police and the media all over the place." Sally decided that Adam was probably right. "Alright, but, I WILL be calling Macy to find out what is going on over there!" _______________

Detectives Moretti and Blair left Dr. Sussman's office. They were both now convinced that Blair's initial theory was right on the money. "I hate to admit it, Pepa, but there's no getting around it. It looks like this Forrester dame was definitely whoring around behind her husband's back." "Right! But, something is still not quite right about this." "I agree. Have any theories about why she was at Forrester Creations and how Brooke Logan might have been involved?" "Suppose they were both sharing the same man?" "It's possible; it wouldn’t be the first time. Technically, they’ve been sharing the same man for years—Ridge Forrester.” “So true,” Detective Blair giggled. “If they were sharing the same man, maybe this man was about to dump one of them and they got into a fight of some sort." Detective Moretti guessed. "Or, maybe Brooke Logan doesn't have anything to do with it at all." Blair emphasized. "Even if they did share the same man, why would they have taken this fight to the office at that time of night? Nor, does it explain why old lady Forrester would show up at the office butterball naked under her coat." "Maybe, the Forrester dame was on her way to meet her lover," Moretti hypothesized. "My guess is that stopping by the office might have been a side trip—totally unplanned. What kind of work would she have been doing anyway? My understanding is that the lady wasn't known for being particularly industrious." "That would be my guess, too," Blair confirmed. "The lady was definitely raring to go. She was nude, and she had condoms in her purse. There's no way she was there to get any work done." "It's the man!" Moretti snapped. "We have to locate the lover. If we find him, then we can clear up a lot of stuff." "But, who is the man?" Blair asked. "That is the $64,000 question. I'm starting to wonder if your hunch is correct. Maybe Ms. Logan had nothing to do with the shooting itself and just happened to stumble onto something or showed up after the fact." "It's possible," Blair confirmed. "Another thing that's been bugging me, too—that bed in the corner of that office. I can't quite put my finger on it, but that bed had something to do with what happened." "Mayhap," Moretti reflected. "But, getting back to the man ... what if this guy was married or otherwise attached?" Blair gasped. "Al! I think you may be on to something! What if it wasn't Brooke Logan, but another woman that old lady Forrester was sharing a man with? Except now this lady decided that she wasn't sharing anymore." "After the stuff we've seen, nothing would surprise me," Moretti said. “But, we still have a problem. We have no evidence whatsoever that places anyone else in that office at that time, and there were no signs of forced entry or anything.” "That’s why I’m really concerned about that outfit’s lack of security. You remember years ago when Sally Spectra was arrested? It seems the Forresters increased whatever security they had at the time and yet this Spectra woman was still able to get past security—disguised as a man. What made it even worse was that she was able to hide out in Mr. Forrester’s office before she was finally caught.” “Yeah, I remember that. It’s funny what people’s priorities are, isn’t it? Back then they were merely concerned about someone stealing their designs because of something that happened at a fashion show. This time, someone actually got shot because of their lax security.” “There are just too many pieces missing from this puzzle,” Detective Moretti frowned. “I'm more determined than ever to get a statement from that Forrester dame. She has a whole lot of explaining to do about her extracurricular activities—and it's not gonna be pretty." "Wait … you don't want to question her in front of her husband, do you?" Blair asked in surprise. "That's exactly what I intend to do!" Moretti said with a smile. _______________
